Same here. They are great reels. I haven't had any issues. And when I did get a birdsnest it was my own fault or casted into some crazy wind lol

I am new to this site but not fishing at all. But I don't claim to be a pro either lol I won't sit here and tell you what I think is the best or the worst, but I do love fishing with baitcasters and regular spinning rods. I first started using a baitcaster at 14 and fell in love. All though I did experience many headaches along the way and threw quite a few across the yard. I don't read into a ton about certain name brands and all that. I usually just read the specs and make sure they match what I'm fishing. I was always told, if you see anything with shielded bearings... that is good! But there are a lot of good quality reels out there. I have the BPS Pro qualifier and I LOVE it!! I got mine at this years spring classic show for I believe $49.99 which is amazing. I know they go for $99.99 but go on sale at times for $79.99 which is not bad at all for a good quality reel. It's a great reel to learn on. I just have mine spooled up with 12-15 pound mono. I really like how the Stren works on it and the Trilene big game. I also use that KVD line and lure conditioner which really helps. I am no expert but I fish a lot and love anything fishing related. Oh yeah, almost forgot.. I have mine matched up with a 7 foot med/heavy abu veritas 2.0 and it's a beast! covers what I need it for. Hope you find what your looking for and have fun fishing brother!

Yeah Jd I'm right between Lititz and Ephrata. I tried cocalico a few times, just little fish. And I agree most or every place is heavily fished. I think I got spoiled growing up in North Eastern Ohio, most the lakes, ponds and quarry's there were empty most of the time. But thank you for the good info man. Tracker, we fished the heck out of both! lol the pond we caught all kinds of Bass,Crappie and other fish, Caught a few big ones too. As for the Quarry, I have fished it a ton and never caught anything except a little tiny bass. I have heard a lot of old timers coming by there that there is big fish in there though. I havent seen them or caught them yet.

Thanks jd. I have heard that a lot around here. I always look for ponds/quarry's whatever. Yeah I heard muddy run is heavily pressured like many other places. I was looking at the forecast in my area, Akron, Pa. Saturday is showing snow again lol this is terrible. Last Saturday it snowed here too. I'd be happy with just a few days of 50's!!!

No just some light rain. But when I was working earlier out by Pottsville/Tamaqua they were getting some. This weather is awful. Oh yeah I heard some guys mention Pinchot. I'm also going to try Ontellnue this year. I pass it every day at work.

Hello everyone? I haven't been on here since last year due to, well.. LIFE! lol anyways, looking for other fello fishermen in lancaster county. I have only been in PA for a few years so I am looking for some good Bass holes. I love all kinds of fishing but Bass is my favorite. I have tried a few places lately but the water is terribly cold, which is normal for this time of year. But wow this weather is annoying. Anyone agree? My good friend and I have scouted out some places. He showed me the susqhanna as well. But do any of you know of any lakes/ponds/quarry's? Thank you fellas and have a good one!

Yes I really would like to invest in a boat sometime down the line. I just miss catching those bass one after another like I use to at some favorite places in Ohio. I know the time will come and we all know fishing takes a lot of patients! Thank you guys for all the knowledge. It is appreciated. Right now I have been looking around Bass pro shops for a new set up that will last me for years. I am itching to go out to those lakes and ponds. haha

Yes I am going to do that soon. I seen on the news the other day that a lot of the bass in the Susquahanna have been looking weird. Cheasapeake Bay my friend fishes there and said the same as you, big bass if your patient. Thank's for the help brother. Maybe I'll see you out somewhere soon lol

Haha good one! Yes, crazy huh? Met my wife over here a long time ago and then found a pretty good job, now here I am in in Lancaster county. But yeah, I am just in need of some good locations. I have all my equipment, just need the lakes and rivers. I haven't fished many rivers, mostly lakes and ponds. I have loved Bass fishing since I was a little guy. Really would like to invest in a little boat sometime down the line. Blue marsh has been a dead zone for me! lol

Hey guys I am in Akron, Pa. Not to far from you two. I have been out to blue marsh a handfull of times and never caught anything! I have had luck at some other places though. I heard Marburg and Redman are good. Bryan, you know of any good locations for some big bass?

I can't remember clearly but there is a few spots up by Trumbull county with some great bass fishing. I think there is a lake out by West Mecca that has nice Largemouth too. I would research that on google. I fished a few of them when I was like 16 but that was 13 years ago lol Good luck!

Hello all my fellow Bass fisherman? I just want to see if there is anyone out there that know's any good places to catch some nice bass in Lancaster county or surrounding areas? I was born and raised in Ohio so I spent most of my life there. I have been in PA for 5 years now and just recently got back into Bass fishing. I have tried a few lakes and local ponds but no luck, just some smaller Bass. Everyone I seem to talk to around here says there are no big Bass in PA. I doubt that is true! If anyone can help me with some good locations I would appreciate it. I heard blue marsh is suppose to be good for some big bass but many say it is heavily fished like many other places around here. All feedback welcomed. Thank's guys!
