  1. Guys went fishing this last Saturday and we were fishing after a post front had moved through... There were a lot of folks fishing but few were catching anything.... My buddy and I had fished for quite a few hours and had caught nothing...he switched to this rig using a paca craw and with in the hour he started catching fish.....I was using other techniques from T& C rigs....jigs,weightless worms, crankbaits, finesse worms....nothing! After talking with other fisherman the story was the same the bite was tuff.... but with this rig he ended up with 6 nice ones for the day when everyone else was catching one or two.... It made a believer out of me..... Another great tool to fall back on when the bite is tuff..... Tight lines Guys
  2. Anyone here used the "H2O Express ETHOS 7'6" MH rod? I used it on Saturday for about 9 hrs. using it for T&C rigs.. enjoyed the rod! I thought the action was a little bit more to the heavy fast..... (had no problem setting the hook!) love the sensitivity it match my more expensive rods.... Just looking for feed back on what others thought about the rod.... Tight lines guys
  3. Has anyone used the airetail worms? If you have, what color and what set-up did you use? Thanks
  4. Real simple......( The Rod Glove) I travel every weekend with my fishing equipment.....and I've found this is the best way to go for me to store and protect my investments... Good luck..
  5. Love the line, I've been using it since March, even though it's not my main rig, I fish with it every weekend. I use 14lb. test. I finesse fish with it and have caught lots of bass when nothing else would do...I've had no line breaks and the line comes off the spool like a charm....... just another backup tool I have in my " fishing tool box".....
  6. Hey, I feel your pain....but don't give up....I always start the morning off fishing with topwaters...not that you can't fish with them at different times of the day because you can......if I see bass feeding on shad close the surface I'll throw a topwater in the feeding area...... watch what others are doing with topwaters...I watch a lot of youtube videos and you can pick-up some pointers on how to fish them.......once you get the hang of it there is nothing better than watching a fish hit a topwater..... Chris
  7. I used FC on my spinning reel for about 4 months and had way to many line memory problems......So, I put on the Berkley Nanofil.....14lb...I've been using it for over 5 months now and I love it..... When the fish aren't bitting I'll use a Zoom Trick Worm and worm hook, weightless and I can feel the slightest nibble..... very impressed with the line.... It hasn't failed me yet..
  8. Hey Guys, Reading through this post....what colors do you like the best when throwing a Ribbit? Thanks
  9. Hey, Guys I'm looking for more of an old product that Plano used to make.... It was a zip pouch that had a soft handle on it and they came in different colors that you could but softbaits in..I have one I bought years ago and I wish I had bought more.... Has anyone seen these online? They are great for keeping my softbaits organized. Thanks
  10. Wanting to see who has used this bait and how they rigged it. What rod/reel combo and line. I have other baits that I prefer better but want to give this bait a fair shake Thanks
  11. Guys, just got back from using my new clear water crankbait rods.....LOVE THEM..........I used everything from 1/4 crankbait to 1/2oz lipless.....and spinnerbaits .....love the action and the way it cast....first time having a glass rod...can't believe what i've been missing....just got to get a reel for my other rod... Happy Memorial Day everyone!
  12. Thanks guys for all of your post. I went in to my local Dick's store and they had around 20 rods on display. I decided to go with two of the clear water rods they have the broadest range of lure weight. I went in before the sale started so, I had them put the rods back for me. Went in Sunday to pick them up and ask the saleman how the sale was going, he said they sold out within an hour after the doors opened. Glad I went in early and picked out what I wanted. If you bought the Rick Clunn rods during the sale. Post what you bought and how you like or don't like the rods...... Thanks Tight lines
  13. Thanks to everyone for their input.... Yes, the rods are going on sale starting Sunday.....2 for $50.00......I think I'm going to stay away from the lipless and go with 2 clear water square bill.... Tight lines everyone!
  14. I'm planning on getting the lipless crankbait rod and the high end weight for the lipless lure is 5/16....I have 1/2 oz lures....has anyone used the 1/2oz on this rod....Thanks
