Bank Fishing In St. Lucie County, Fl
I haven't been on the site in a while or else I would have responded sooner. I've banked fished PSL for the past 15 years, used to have to ride my bike around when I was a kid. The best bank fishing spots are in the gated communities in the Saint Lucie West area. The golf courses are amazing but they really don't like people fishing them most of the time. The tradition area is also pretty good bank fishing and much easier to gain access too. I love using fire tiger color rattle traps as big as you can find them. Spinner baits, dark color 8"+ worms, and top water hollow bodied frogs work great for me too. I really haven't fished the areas around the part of town where you live so I can't help you there.

Best Lures For Pond Fishing?
I use rattle traps (lipless cranks) when I fish a new pond that I havent fished before. They cast far so you can cover alot of ground. Keep them close to the shoreline cover but not too close to get caught up in the weeds. I would use floro or braid to be safe. I caught 27 in 1.5 hours today with this technique.

Catch Or No Catch?
If the fish touches land I count it as a catch. When Im fishing with friends and we are fishing from shore I would rather they get off by themselves and flop back into the water. That is less time I have to spend unhooking them. The only time I get mad is if they are big and I want to take a picture of it. I make sure to grab it by the lip and hold tight. I feel the more you squeeze on the lip the less the bass tries to squirm. I mostly fish lipless cranks and I try to get those hooks out as quick as possible for the safety of the fish and myself. If you had the fish lipped then thats a catch in my book. Who cares what everybody thinks though. If you think its a catch thats all that matters.

2 Bass 1 Lure
Ive been fishing for almost 15 years and this is the 1st time I have done this. I was using a Rattlin Rap 07 with swapped out 6 trebles. I caught 27 bass in about 1.5 hrs today all on the same lure. I caught 2 or 3,3-4lbers but most were small. I thought I had lost the fish at first and then I felt it tugging again but once it got close I seen 2 heads swimming right toward me. I was worried I would lose one before I got them to shore but they were both hooked pretty solid. Has anybody else ever done this before?

Peacock Bass
I just made a trip to Bass Pro Shops in Fort Lauderdale yesterday. I went down there to get a new reel and to fish for Peacock Bass. It was my first time fishing for them, although I seen a few and had a few chase my lures and one grab my popper I didnt catch one. I talked to a few locals and posted a topic in the Southeast fishing parts of these forums to try and find where/how to catch them. I was told fast moving lures or topwater and they hit most during the middle of the day when it is hottest. I plan on going again soon to catch one this time.

Peacock Bass Help
No Peacocks. I tried the Griffin & 75 canal. I also tried Wolf Lake Park. I seen 2 there. I also talked to a guy who told me a spot and I fished there. (close to Griffin/75) I seen a few there too. I had a nice 3-4 lber chase it twice and I had something hit my popper but I didnt land any Peacocks. Im going to try again soon. Thanks for the advice.

Is It Possible To Take A Fresh Water Bait Caster And Turn It Into A Salt Water Bait Caster?????
What are the main differences between saltwater baitcasters and freshwater ones? Take the Quantum Smoke for example they have a freshwater one and one they call (inshore) besides for the color and the saltwater protective coat what is the difference between them? I freshwater fish 90% of the time but for the 10% of the time I fish saltwater would it be a good idea to just pay the little bit extra and get the saltwater model? Im sure I would forget to rinse out the reel once in awhile.

What's Your Biggest Largemouth?
Went today by myself and pulled this guy out of the water. I tried taking the best pic I could considering I was by myself and wanted to get my face in the pic. I was using the same thing as my last personal best. (fire tiger rattle trap) I was going to buy a digital scale this weekend too. So another bass that I cant get an official weight on. This one was bigger then the last one though.

What's Your Biggest Largemouth?
Thanks for the response. I am kinda mad that I didn't have a scale with me. I'm going to buy a handheld digital one. How accurate are they? I had my friend who was on the boat take the picture and he told me how to hold the bass so he could take the picture now that I look at it,it does seem to make the fish look a little bigger. I'm not worried about what other people think anyway. I've had a few people tell me somewhere around 8 lbs but then I heard a 6 lb and a 10lb so If I had to guess I would say it was around 7-8 like you said. My goal is to get one over 10 lbs one day. Thanks again.
