  2. I was fishing a texas-rigged baby brush hog around some sunken trees.
  3. It's been a really fun summer getting into bass fishing, don't know what took me so long to set aside the surf fishing gear and start heading to the lake. I just got a new bass rod, a *** *** Black, and I just had to take it to one of my favorite spots to break it in, Lake Perris for all you So Cal guys. It was a tough day a fishing, but finally got this beauty to bite. Turned out to be a nice 4 pounder. Nice fish on a nice rod, it doesn't get any better.
  4. I would love to catch a big bass on a trout swimbait! Might have to wait till they start stocking trout again though.
  5. I've been fishing all of my life, mostly saltwater, but I just started getting into bass fishing about two weeks ago. Gotta say that I am obsessed already! My first two trips to Castaic Lake, which is my local lake in northern Los Angeles, produced a couple of 1-2lb bass and a bunch of lost fish. This morning I decided to make the 1.5 hour drive to Lake Perris, which is in Riverside, CA. Not many bites, but I did catch my new PB largemouth on my first cast. The fish seemed to be about 3 pounds; I didn't have a scale so you'll have to judge by the pic. All my bass have been landed on wacky rigged senkos. Itching to get back on the water already!
