The tab isn't the problem anymore. The problem is that when the line caught on the tab, it bent the shaft.

Club has their tournament meeting/draw. Initially there are 7 boaters and 5 non-boaters. Boater #7 switches to non-boat so we'll have an even number (it was a buddy draw). Everyone draws their partners and all seems good. Tournament day comes and boater #7 shows up with his boat in tow and his regular partner with him. The boater he drew at the meeting (boater #6) shows up with his regular partner, who was at the meeting at said he wasn't going to fish the tourney. #7 and his partner win, #6 and his partner finish second. FWIW, #7 is also the tourney director. IOW, he does what he wants, when he wants.

No, it would be issues with the line clip on the spool and what happens to the reel when you cast a 1/4 oz. bait and the line gets caught on that clip.

Having issues with a Supreme spinning reel and of course their site is down.

The Cardiff 300 is plenty of reel for batin in Mass.
