If you can, buy the 7'11. The split grip and pistol at the end makes for very easy casting.

BPS XPS hooks are the worst. I bought several packages of their 3/0 EWG hooks last year sight unseen (had someone pick them up for me). What I got was a 1/0 hook labeled as a 3/0 hook. :-/

Well I hate to see Opie and Patterson go. Patterson had shown periods of potential. Opie was just a good fan favorite. Hopefully Harden will come through.

I bit the bullet last night myself. Had to stop by a Wal Mart on my way home for some padded mailers (local WM was out), swung through the electronics section looking for a DVD, happened to see a stack of Wii's in the case. Took about 20 minutes to make that decision... Been screwing around with the wireless connection for the last two hours.

Was in the Sevierville BPS yesterday, they had a tiny section devoted to Megabass. A few Griffons, a few Visions and a few Vib-X. They are certainly proud of them. :-X

Just a matter of determining which drive is the master and which is the slave. Set the jumpers on the rear of the drive in the correct manner and slap it in there. Shouldn't take more than 20-30 minutes including reboot and driver install.

Replace the base? If it's old, the nylon bushing has worn out. I just replaced my bow base last week. The seat would rock 3-4" side to side.

So when can you come up and install it? Well, if someone could take me out... I can talk you through it. Nothing at all to the install, especially if you only have one drive.

My old TM was 30 lb. thrust, the new one is 43. I expected a bit more of a drain on the battery. I went out last Thursday for about 2 hours with the three blade. It was a bit windy. Ended up using 35% of the battery capacity. Went out Friday night, same setup, used 30%. I'm going to switch to the 2 blade today and see how much I use tonight. I don't fish any really weedy environments, so I'm not too worried about weeds. I just want the best combination of speed (I fish mostly TM only lakes) and battery consumption.

Line twist is inherent to the rig. The perpendicular hook acts as a keel. Try a Spro Power Swivel (get their smallest one) above the hook.

I would rather go myself. But sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do. I went last night, I'll go tomorrow night, Monday night, Wed. night, Thurs. night and Sat. morning...I think I can stand to miss one night.

The fish are biting yet the boat ain't gonna move tonight. She loves fireworks and the town is shoosting theirs tonight. Maybe I'll get something...ya know...for the effort.
