G Loomis G2 Jig And Worm
liked the gl2 for worming n jigging, the 7h gl2 crankbait is a beast of crankin rod! felt real good on the 6 and 6xd. got better feel, less weight and better balance out my falcon caras. if u havent tried them, take a minute to play with one, light and sensitive! my favorite rods and have a very similiar pricepoint than the loomis. i havent had a single problem with the warranty of my falcons at all and have been very pleased with thier customer service. but if your gonna spend 200-220, try the cara line. now if u wanna step up n spend another 60-100 bucks, try the imx for sure! even better rod but ur gonna pay for it! lol but hope htis helps you out is any. my experience says gl2 is good rod but for the cost, i really feel like thier are some better rods out there for the cost and maybe some cheaper that are just as great. ive said it before but your gonna get what u pay for in the area, but when it comes to spending the money we are now days on fishing toys. i think it doesnt matter what the price tag says as long as feels good to you. but when your spending 200+ on a rod, its all about preference also, just a matter of what YOU like

I like my curados n like ny chronarchs even more! Hopefully i can get these upgrades soon! But one question which us main concern is the price of all the mods??? Would it be just as well to purchase a chronarch or another curado seeing tht is the feel im going aftr? But thanks again for all ur posts and knowledge on the matter! And hope to read more about it in the future! O! I kno i want th bigger grips for sure. But if somebody cud help with a ball park price on particular mods they have gotten on the citica e's. That would fantastic! Scam!!!
Thts th thing, they quoted my desciption, to a T!!! "shimano cumara gen 1 7'2 fast still for sale?" so thts another reason i put scam on this forum cz the desciption came from my listing. It was more than just a generic message but it got weird to me th more i tried to talk to th person n still its been over 12 hours without reply regarding th number being linked a a scam!!!! But like i said, started out like any other transaction!!! Just weird is all n glad i followed my gut in this one!!!

Scam!!!
I didnt put my phone nUmber on thr at all, after much correpaondance with the th scammer, my phone number was given along with an address for payment which is no diffrent than offering a sellar an address for sending an itme which is bought. But iv had no problm from a couple sites involved with trading, selling and buying. The agreement was also not to ship a thing until check has been cleared up to 5-10 days, tracking number for payment and correspondence was great for awhile.. Which was a another red flag in my eyes. Im a member of another forum and there emails and phine numbers all over that site and iv been and fishin buddies have been members of that site for years and never had a problem with anything like this at all! So it was like the other, iv sent money orders across 6 states after speaking with th sellar and he also sent the item before payment was even sent, took my wotd for the payment in the mail and everything!!! Im not trying to get one over on anybody! My biggest concern is tht he wudnt like the rods and the hassle of getting them bak was my biggest concer but needless to say i havent heard a peep since i made my discovery regarding this number, i even tried to call it and it gives me a opportunity to leave a vm at some mailbox. Another red flag, things js didnt add uo after a bit but glad i found out.

Scam!!!
my cell number was given at a later message it thot but have dealt with ppl on different forums and hav enot ran into this problem at all. and usually the transaction went smoothly and even talked with the other person on the phone. but thanks for the heads up, my own ignorance i guess!

Scam!!!
i posted an ad on the flea market forum, got some response from someone that wanted my item and then some so i agreed to send pics and we agreed opn a price. some squirrly reasoning about over payment and the way this person repsonded to my convo alarmed me at firsr but gave the benefit of the doubt. upon further investigation the number turned out to to be connected to a scam that overpays for items and asks the sellar to send remaining payment back to address, cashiers checks from phony account and so forth, i googled the number and it gave other accounts that have fallen victim to this and described my transaction to a T! Just wanted to give a heads up to the forum reagarding this type of thing! the number is (646) 450-9152, it also gives other numbers that are involved in the scam. Im an honest guy and have overpaid for things myself and probably wudnt have fallen for it if some alarms didnt go off with the correspondance of the person on the otherside but just wanted to give eveyone on the forum a heads up! hope you guys n gals arent a victim of this S**T!! Id like to get ahold of whoever is doing it honestly but it is happening on this forum bcz this is only place i listed the item, guys be careful. he never would answer what his name was on the forum and wudnt answer any question about himseld, im sorry to say that i did provide my name and address in this but hopefully nothing negative will come of it, hopefully. i did send an email what i had discovered and explained that the deal was off until something else was worked out, and of course i have had no reply!!! but just giving a heads up to the forum,

Citica Upgrade???
I understand that upgrading a citica and changing the gear ratio is a normal thing, id like to change a few of my e series more to upgrade to a all around better reel. as i read more on it, it can be comparable to a curado, now thats a idea i like to hear. i have 3 citica e's that could be upgraded, how much does this bearing and bushing upgrade usually cost? i also wudnt mind changing to the power handle either. can you guys direct me to a trusted name on the subject so i can hopefully turn out my citicas. thanks and msg me or just post any suggestions. thanks again.

Rod For Pitching
id start with a rod a little longer than what u usually use and go with a slight faster action, it might take al ittle getting use to the longer length and stouter rod, but a good rod for the price point IMO is the bass pro carbonlite line of rods, offer a 7' heavy and a 7' MH, also a 6'9 MH if u dont feel ready for the 7 foot rod. also offer a 7'6 h and 7'6 MH. u can go with reg guides and catch them on sale from anywhere for 70 to 100 not on sale, also offer a micro guide series that run about 10-20 dollars than the reg guides, thier extreme series rods arent a bad buy either. they are a bit heavier than the carbonlite models, but bang for the buck try a 7 foot heavy micro guide carbonlite casting. i will say those are the real deal, and BPS is pretty good about anything that has thier name on it too, im fortunate enough where i can make to my local bps in bout 45 minutes if i have any problems with a product. also doubles as frog rod, and you can throw big blades with it too! A great all around around rod in the heavy and med heavy! for around a hundred dollars, its a great deal IMO. the carbonlite lite is super lite and very sensative, many rods of the same pricepoint tend to wiegh a bit more and seem tip heavy to me, it is lighter than the extreme line and also lighter than the mojo series mentioned above,(not to knock the st croix at all md bowhunter), just stating its lighter is all, i have used both of them. Falcon makes a lowrider rod that comes in 6'10 MH and H. thats a nice rod for sure, i myself are partial to the falcon caras, but thats another story. the lowrider series runs in the 130-150 price range which is a bit higher than u quoted but i have good things about the veritas line by abu garcia which offers micro and reg guides. i have heard mixed feeling reagarding the skeet reese rods, abu makes a vendetta line thats not too bad, but remembe this, alot times with these toys we buy to catch that green back, whatever feels good to you is the best rule to go buy, if given a chance play with as many reels and rods as u can at any local dealer and you will see and feel the diffrences in your hands, and then go from there. if it feels right, pull the trigger and make ur judgments on the water for sure. but hope this has been helpful with some ideas for you. let me know if i can b of any more help to u or any of u anglers, thanks for having on here guys!

Can Anyone Tell Me What Model Chronarch Was Before The 200 E Series?
i own 3 b series, shiny metalic version, the gold sf, and 2 of the e series. really didnt have a chance to make a comparison of the d and e series except for the 100 dollar difference. but my b and e series are the best!!! supper smooth and super free!!! great reels for sure and they have stood the test of time for sure, i understand that companies just try to keep up with each other but why dont they just keep produing them as long as there is a want for the product??? it happens with everything tho, new does not always constitute as better! but all in all, i feel any chronarch is well worth the dough as long as u can hack it.

New Crucial Line
iv heard they are a little tip heavy, have u used the cara line of rods or used the cumara series at all fishking247??? and thanks for you input for sure, ive heard alot of good things bout the rods, with the tip being a littel too heavy being the biggest downside to the rod and i can tell you that it sounds like a heck of a combo for sure, js about anything with a curado on it sounds good!
-
Shorter Jig Rod
cara finnese jig and head turner for sure and if the price scares you away, bucoo is decent rod, i myself have long arms and like the length of th 6'10, i just feel like a 6'6 is too short for me with flipping or fishing cover cz of the leverage aspect of it, i feel like the fish goes where he wants to the shorter rod, thats just me. alot veiws but "different strokes for different folks" as long as it feels good to you and fits your fishing circumstances, jammed in the creek with limbs hangin all over in 20 footer its kinda hard to use my 7'3 hvy action but i love to fish out of my 14 footer and even still fish out a scamp on occassion n the 7'3 feels like too much rod at that point. but just go with what feels right to to you is a definite rule to live by when fishing for sure!

New Crucial Line
thanks imbfisherman!!! yea, the guides on the crucial seem a littel big to me ad the cumaras are super sensitive, i own both micro and reg guides and i do feel good about both for sure. i know th pricepoiont went up a tad but i like the rods for sure, not a fan of the red coloration but heck, if it catches fish and feels good, im all for it!!! il see if i can look up the other members and ask them, thanks again for the help!

New Crucial Line
can anyone help me with a comparison of the new crucial line to the gen 1 cumara line, and if anybody can, whats the biggest diff in the new cumaras and the older ones? i currently have a handful of cumaras and havent had a chance to play with the new line, but have played a little bit with crucial, how do they compare? and if anybody can help with the comparison of the falcon cara and the new crucials. i have many caras and just wanted to kno some insight on the crucial line, any knowledge would be helpful and thanks

Chronarch 50E... Holy Guacamole!
50 series is the deal, id like to see it in a higher gear ration for flipping, like the 7.1 like its brothers, but have the smaller gray curados, one of the first released in the 50 class of shimano, still pulls 5 pounder out like a champ!!! great reels as i dont have any of the newer 50 chronarchs, i can only take your word for the feel but if its a shimano, i totally believe you then!

Abu Garcia New Revo Series
If you dont have the money for the stx, i would say go with sx, the s only if u have to, that line only gets better as the number of letters go up! lol or the price! but really, try the sx first is my advice, and the other posters made good points, try a curado or a citica. both great reels! im not pluggin either one cz im honestly torn between the 2, i have the whole lineup of revos and even go back to gen 1, i still have a couple in the staring lineup, gen 2s and gen 3s right there beside them, iv got some curado b's, dpvs, e and g series on the deck too, they are both quality products and lets be honest and say its all a preferrence issue at some point. i would reccomend toying with a revo on the rod u will be using, the gear box from wha ppl say doesnt sit right with thier preference, i myself have long fingers and have not a problem with the gear box being moved form the previous gen 2, but that is something to think about, all in all my best advice is to play with reels at a store if possible, alot of the associates are usually very helpful, ask if u can put the reel on a rod similiar to the rod u will be using(diff rods have various reel seats that change the feel depending on how u hold you reel) to see what if it feels like and pick the best reel that fits you and go from there. hope this was helpful, and just wanted to say thanks for having on this forum and happy to b here!

Shimano
u kinda get what u pay for in the reel dept with exception of some brand IMO, but shimano citica is a great starter reel for the price, i would reccomend it over the revo s for sure at the same price point. with that being said, another 30 bucks gets u a curado g or a revo sx, now ur starting to get into the lines of 160-165 and i feel is a big jump in quality from the citica. just my opinion. and then another 30 gets u a stx or a chronarch, as i owned and still own all of the reelsmentioned above with exception of the revo s, i have had a few lemons in the batch but overall pleased with all of thier performance. but they do seem to perform with a few trips on thier belt, i guess its the movements n motions of using it possibly that work the parts thoroughly? but hope this imformation has been helpful.
