Thanks for the kind words! db sent me a link to this thread and I just had to register so I could thank everyone for their comments and support. The response to this little project has been absolutely overwhelming and I just cannot get over the generosity of the folks in this community. If you have not yet heard, all four rods sold the very next day after db had posted them on his Facebook page. The average selling price was $400 each!! This is going to buy a lot of tackle for some very deserving kids. I've followed db's fantastic writing for many years and finally got the chance to meet him at the Classic last year. As soon as he told me about his foundation, I knew we just had to do something to help out. CastAway is blessed with an amazing Elite Series pro staff and we all agreed that this would be a great way to help out db and some pretty amazing children. We look forward to doing more stuff like this in the future...it has to be one of the most rewarding parts of an already awesome job!
