  1. I really like the Denali rosewood multipurpose 7'4 MH rod. To me that is one of the best out there. Also the 7'2 rosewood worm and jig rod would be another good one. Be on the lookout at Icast for what Denali has coming new!
  2. A revo S would be a great baitcast reel to start out with. Rather than going with a 6'3 try looking for something that is between 6'6 and 7ft. For what you are wanting to accomplish with it that would be your best bet. Pair that Revo S up with either a Denali jadewood 6'6 or 7' worm and jig rod and you have an affordable but great setup! Easy on the pocket but top notch in quality! Hope this helps
