  1. Regular price at my Wal-mart was $40. I have been scoring some pretty good deals at Wal-mart lately in the way of fishing stuff.
  2. Well if I could afford better right now then I would. I just look on cabelas website and the cheapest combo they had was $70. So i think i will get this one for now then maybe when i get paid next week just start saving for a better one if i like fly fishing.
  3. Unfortunately, I don't have just a Fly shop anywhere close to me (at least not that I know of). The closest thing to that is Cabelas. I'm only looking to spend about $40, because im not sure if I will even like fly fishing.
  4. This one I saw was for pan fish. Not sure the exact details. I might pick it up tomorrow.
  5. I saw a decent looking Fly fishing kit at Wal-mart today for $40. I have never tried fly fishing, but I want to learn, so does anyone know if thes starter kits are any good for a beginner to learn the basics?
  6. Is this rod any good? Im looking to buy a new rod for my Abu Garcia Black Max Baitcasting reel. The lightning rod is on sale at Wal-Mart for $35. Should i go with this or something else in that price range?
  7. Anyone ever use these? I got them from Wal-Mart on sale for $1.00. figured i would give them a try. Any tips? How to rig them?
  8. Dont know if you are looking for a tackle bag or just back pack, but i got mine from my local Meijer for $35. Great deal IMO.
  9. Well, you paid the right price for it. Sorry to say but it is not the greatest reel. In my experience, Daiwa can make some really great reels, then they also have some pretty horrible ones. The reel you got only has one ball bearing. I dont know how much you know about reels, but typically, the more ball bearings the better. but in some cases if a reel only has, say, 4 ball bearings, it may still be an amazing reel. just depends on the build quality. about 6-8 ball bearings has served me great.
  10. Have fun out there!
  11. Yes, I'm in Monroe. Have you ever fished the River Raisin?
  12. Anyone fish the waters in lower Michigan?
  13. Like I said, i didn't come up with the idea, just made it my own. But thanks.
  14. I made these ones for bass and northern pike. I have some made with much smaller hooks for pan fish. I Made them for my pocket pan fishing kit. I haven't fished them yet but I will be tomorrow.
  15. I was making some para cord lures today, and I made a few of the traditional ones (Left), and then I made some of my own(Right). I don't know if i exactly invented it, but I kind of made it my own.
