I hope this thread is still alive! I'm about the same as FrogFreak, just bought a yak myself and have been doing most fishing on shore. Originally from Fairbanks, Alaska but I'm living in St. Cloud as of now and was just hoping somebody could give me a little perspective on what would be a fun lake for a getaway weekend!? Or possibly even a meet up? I've only met a few guys who fish regularly from work but I'm always looking for a little friendly get together! Happy to suppply whatever is needed! (Food, fuel, bait or brews!) haha

I know the minnesota DNR website has some info on dock friendly lakes, and they also list docks for the local rivers such as the mississippi as well as the sauk river etc. Now as far as which ones are worth a visit I can't help any more than that! hope you can find something, I know I've been there too!
