  1. So i havent been fishing in at least 4 years, so its been even longer since i was on this forum. However, i recently started a new job and one of my coworkers is a die hard fisherman. Well we get to talking amd next thing you know im invited to go out on the boat with him. So i got all my my sticks out and dusted, new line and greased everything up. Well now here lies the issue. We are going to a lake ive never fished, and i have no clue what the fish are doing, what current water tempts are, or anything else about the current situation for that matter. So my questions for you guys are, what is some general info on current florida bass fishing (just north of rodman)? Has anyone ever fished georges lake (not lake george, or little lake george)? And other than flipping and froggin, what else would yall throw at em? Thanks in advance.
  2. I just saw a boat on the freeway sporting twin 150 mercury outboards my question is why not a single mercury 300 ?

  8. I never felt a bite I just watched the line swim off agin the tide when I got the bait back I was balled up on the hook with the point still exposed so I no the worm it self.didn't prevent hook up I was thinking the mono was stretching and not allowing good penetration that's why I tried the braid but I stopped getting bit would floro be a better option in the future or should I try a heavier rod maybe
  9. Hmm didn't think of that I no there were blue fill beds all over so maybe that was it
  10. IM considering one of those jdm abu the one with the 9: 1 ratio and a left hand retrieve and a shallow spool
  11. Went out yesterday and started getting bit right away problem is I couldn't stick a fish to save my life was fishing a 6_9 mh/f carrot stix and a pennicale pro 10 (older model ) 6:4:1 15# mono dragging a zoom trick worm on a 1/2 tungsten trig and a 4/o strait shank gammy worm hook after a handful of misses I switched that rig to a very similar combo except it was strung up with 50# spiderwire camo braid I ended up catching a short fish on that setup but my number of bites went way down so IM wondering if there's an in between some were I was fishing a small creek of the St johns river with brackish water and barnicales on everything and a whole Forrest worth of fallen trees if that makes a difference
  12. This sounds like an excuse to.get one of them sweet hawgtech handles
  13. What is the purpose of coloring the line? I've never done this. so the fish don't see it u could use white or neon yellow braid to make it easy on your eyes and color the end black to hide it from the fish I personally use spider wire camp braid it has like 5 colors on one string so I just cut it to the color that matches the water IM fishing IM worried Sharpie would leave a sent

Also try dragging something heavy ( jig t/rig c/rig) it helps get a feel the bottom never no when you might find a log or bush no one knows remember where it's at and cast at it with whatever bait is working for you
