  1. Have any guess on the size of the fish?
  2. I'd start on one of the coves and use a hollow body frog on the pads.
  3. I'm just starting to enter tournaments since I'm starting to be able to drive and take my boat out without my dad and I was wondering if anyone has any tips since I'm younger than most other people in the tournaments I'm in. Any suggestions can help haha Thanks
  4. Haha I love Walmart I picked up 5 Rapala X-Raps the other day for a buck a piece haha
  5. I've snapped a MH Veritas while flipping in super thick mats so since then I'm stickin with a heavy 7' 11'' rod.
  6. I'd just totally refill your spool with braid, the point of braid is not to stretch and to float but with a fluorocarbon main line that defeats the purpose. The only thing that that would help is your leader would be less likely to snap. Don't throw your old line away though, if it's still good unspool it onto the original spool or another reel or even a toilet paper roll of you have to haha. Best of Luck!
  7. Check the guides as others have said and don forget the line guide on your reel too! That's where mine was and I couldn't figure it out why it was fraying my line for the life of me haha. Also try changing your knot, that may be the problem also.
  8. 10 and 12 have hardly any difference so you should be fine. And try out Fluorocarbon too! Haha I use it 80% of the time other than when I'm froggin' or flipping.

What is your end all, beat all, go to scent? I've tried a few and none seem to really work all that well. This could be a spray, paste, liquid or whatever else works best for you. Thanks
  10. What's the power of your rod? If it's extra-heavy or somethin higher that may be the reason.
  11. Fish with your opposite hand haha.
  12. Woah!!! Dude your so lucky that wasnt your eye haha Ive done the same but with a Texas rigged plastic with an ounce weight, cracked a big gash in my forehead haha.
  13. That's true; I forgot about that, but I still don't think that being more environmentally friendly is worth 6 bucks haha.
  14. Does anyone use homemade salt licks? What do you guys put in em'? I recently just put out 2 today made of 2.5 gals. of water, a cup of sugar, a cup of salt, a packet of koolaid, 2 packets of apple oats, and an apple juiced and crushed into the mix. Not anything Ive ever done before so I'm just experimenting at the moment but does anyone have an tested methods? Thanks.
  15. I was wondering if anyone has had any experience/luck with reprinting crankbaits? I'm looking to repaint some KVD'S 1.5's which already have a sort of matte bream paint color that the fish around me don't seem to like too much and I wondered what specific type of paint and stuff I'd need to use to get it right, any suggestions?
  16. I'm guessin' 5.5 - 6 haha nice fish, close to my PB.
  17. In the whole scheme of things is tungsten really worth the extra cost? Sure tungsten is 50% smaller and you can feel cover/bottom better, but at nearly six bucks for three. Lead on the other hand; is 50% bigger and slightly less sensitive, but you can get a pack of ten for three bucks. More fish have been caught using lead weights than any other material weight combined, a tried and true material. Is tungsten really worth it? (Also keep in mind this is for people who actually purchase their own weights and not those who get them from sponsors.)
