  1. Yeah, I frog 90% of the time. I can pull them out on frogs when they aren't biting anything else. It's all about color in my parts to get the bites.
  2. Okay. Got rained out early, but managed to pull one out. Will go back later tonight. 14.5" inches. It was about 73 degrees and overcast around 9am. Used a boyah pad crasher jr (yellow/green/black). My frog set up if anyone is interested is a 7' MH BPS Bionic with a BPS Pro Qualifer reel using 30lb powerpro braid.
  3. Underhill produced my biggest to date. Senkos and Flukes will do well this weekend around those pillars...
  4. We call those people "Bass Caddys"
  5. I usually fish with a buddy so I'll have them help me out. If it's +2lb I'll definitely take the time to measure and submit.
  6. Yeah, weekdays I'm fishing banks. My scale has a measuring tape but When I tried to keep it still next to the tape and take the pic all hell broke loose and I just tossed it back. Do I need to take a picture of the fish with the ruler?
  7. Alright, let's try this again. I'm in, but need some advice on how to keep a bass still while measuring it. Also, these were some more fish I caught in October since I suck at keeping up to date.

  9. Did you cover up your softbait on purpose? Didn't want to give away any secrets???
  10. The one in Orlando is rather large. I still find myself ordering from ***. (Free shipping when you spend over $50!). They're usually at least $1-2 cheaper than BPS.
  11. Haha, both unfortunately. I've seen some massive trophy bass pulled from the glades.
  12. Florida Fish and Wildlife invest a lot of money and manpower developing these ecosystems. From the baitfish, all the way down to the sewage and irrigation that goes into the lake (to create an abundance of vegetation). I do miss living 10min from the everglades though. There are giants in there.
  13. This one in particular slammed it hard, like a baseball bat hitting the water. I've had a few 5-6 lbers vacuum the frog down without making a splash. Super eerie. One second your frog is floating, the other it's gone and your line is being pulled.
  14. I use Booyah and Spros. Booyahs have better hook up ratios and are cheaper but tend to flip over when going over cover. Spros have better action, but are pricey and begin to take on water way faster. Both have caught me quality fish, so I'm not biased.
  15. A Booyah Pad Crasher Jr. Brown/white belly. 7'MH rod, pro qual BPS baitcaster, and 30lb braid. The key with frogging is the initial presentation. If you can have that frog dangle from a tree branch or tall grass and then drop, you won't even have to reel before you get that bite. This one took it as soon as it touched the water (after dangling from the overhanging tree branch). Ivanhoe was surprisingly bigger than I thought and gorgeous. I wish we had more time, there were soo many great looking spots on that lake.
  16. If you can find this article, I'd love to send it to my friend. I just try to hold the fish as close to my head as possible to give it scale. Nothing worse than people trying to punch the camera with the fish.
  17. DISCLAIMER: This wasn't in October, but the fish I posted earlier was bigger than this one. Stupid angles.
  18. The sad part is we took two pics, that was the better of the two :\, Can't complain, the memories are locked in. That's my 3rd bass this year above 8lbs. I doubt it will be my last.
  19. Yeah the angle wasn't good. My buddy fishes better than he takes pictures, haha. Caught this one at Lake Ivanhoe (first trip there)
  20. Caught this weekend. Didn't have anything to measure it with. Only scale. Came in at 9.3lb
  21. Hey AK, I'm from Downtown (next to Ivanhoe). UCF has some nice ponds. Next time you're there check out the two ponds right behind Brighthouse Stadium. I can guarantee there are at least 2 +10lb bass in there.
