It is a 540 acre lake holding stained water, with just one dock. No trout in the lake for feeders. It's also an electric only lake, so there is no boat traffic. I think tomorrow I am going to have to hit around the dock quite a bit just to check it out.

How deep is the pond or lake? Try a jointed rapala crank bait. These always do awesome for me in ponds that aren't heavily pressured. Also your soft plastics should knock em dead. Wish I could come fish it with you!

Hi fellow fishermen and fisherwomen, I have started my bass fishing this summer and have become addicted in pursuit of the lake monsters. I have found a great reservoir near my house, with a great population of trophy largemouth in it. There are 10 lb+ bass taken here fairly often. Anyways, I am trying to figure out exactly where the baitfish can and will be in the early fall, consisting of bluegill, crappie and red ear sunfish. I have had a rough go my last couple weeks trying to find the fish. Also, what baits would you recommend, the usual rat-l-traps, spinnerbaits? Or anything else? Just curious if you gurus can give me a heads up? I appreciate it! Ben
