  1. Only one from Friday, caught this guy in the pads. Not on a frog, but on a T-rigged Rage Tail Thumper, pegged with an 1/2 oz tungsten punch weight. Dragging it over pads letting it fall thru gaps. Come to find out later they had sprayed the lake for weeds, but left the pads alone. Surprised I caught this one
  2. got me the NRS Copilot. Great little blade Do like Fenwicks myself. As you I also have the HMG, and Eagle.
  3. Great bag, I got the black one. I used to do that, but know I just slide 2 3700, 1 3600 spinner bait box, 1 plano half lenghts in the long ways.
  4. Spiderwire tackle back pack, and a Spiderwire sling tackle bag.
  5. Jig and craw: bk/bl, browns and greens Ned Rig (wasn't it invented there) same colors as above. Swim jig: Blue gill, bream, and same colors as above
  6. You'll get better replies of you post this in the rods and reel section.
  7. Good choice, the Ram Mount kit that racedad is using is the same one I have, except for the lower mount. Mine is round insured of square, and it's mounted to a accessory adapter to work on my track system on the yak.
  8. I don't have a Bass Raider, but I have it attached to my Kayak with a Ram Mounts Helix mounting kit. It's pretty much a universal kit to be mounted to whatever. The Transducers hangs off the side attached to a Ram Mounts transducer arm, but you can probably mount the transducer to the transom of the Bass Raider like a conventional boat. Side Imaging is actually good for seeing structure of to the sides at distances. Then mark interesting spots, and use the down scan when you arrive at the spot.
  9. Got an Email on Saturday that they were shipped. Thanks Mike.
  10. I have the Helix 5 SI, It's a nice FF.
  11. Check out the Humminbird Helix line of FFs.
  12. Humminbird Helix 5 SI
  13. Try it with the Hula Stickz. This past Saturday used them the first time, and caught a few on them.
  14. Got poured on, slipped into the water, but managed these guys. All caught on Ned Rig using the Hula Stickz (my new favorite lure 2nd to the Jig n' Craw). Slipped into the drink releasing this guy.
  15. Ok awesome. Thanks
  16. Thanks Wayne, I do have the Micro SD card installed. Is there a button I just have to press to take the snapshot once Snapshot is activated.
  17. Always. I tried a Rage Chunk on one last week, and let me tell you it's a very interesting look when cranked.
  18. Placed my order. Green pumpkin Pearl Lam Which will match a plethora of the hatch, and Ghost Shad which will do a good Alewife imitation up in these parts.
  19. If it's sunny, get a good pair of polarized sun glasses, and they even work when it's overcast. Look for cover, if there is any. Lilly pads, fallen tree, a stump, a log, even a shade line. Sometimes cover is right below the surface, this is where the polarized sunglasses come in handy. Even an indentation in the bed of the body of water is a good spot when there's it's no visible cover to be seen. I prefer to pitch or cast Seibert Outdoors arky jig with a Rage Chunk trailer, but you can use a spinner bait or even a square bill crank bait if you prefer. Try to keep treble baits away from the Lilly pads though. If it's cloudy a search bait is good to use, like a spinner bait, crank bait, swim jig/bait, bladed jig. If all else fails chuck a wacky rigged stick worm our Ned Rig. Hope this helps a bit.
  20. Freaked me the hell out. I've seen something similar here in New Jersey. Last weekend I've seen a few Blue gill, and a bass with some kind of growth on their side near the gill plate with that same coloration, and they seem to be lethargic. This was in 2 different bodies of water. We did have some low water levels last year, but are back up to par this year.
  21. How a do I take one, and how do i get the distance bars on the SI. Thanks
