true, you would think that being the best on paper and fishing this lake as much as he has he should have done better..but they way i see it people are expecting too much out of him based on the past. gained over 100 points today and sitting right in the middle of our group. hopefully i will make a big jump tomorrow

Yes on the top 25. I seem like one of the only ones not surprised by KVD he hasnt had a good year at all... didnt make a top 12 all year on the elite series. just didnt have the momentum on his side.

Thought id update you guys on my trip to Florida. I will go in Order. Snuck out of the house early and fished a small feeder creek to the St. Johns. Ended up a with a decent red. Not a bad start to 2014. That night we drove south to hit up the Big O Then I decieded to not check into the Hotel for a few hours... Ended up being a great choice with the first Largemouth of 2014 a solid 3.5 plus! Next day we hit Oke rented a boat and this was the biggest at about 3 pounds Lake was nasty nasty water so I had to fish the rim canal most of the day. Last full day I hit Baymeadows park in Jax and got a dink but thats all. Thanks to MCS for mentioning some spots to me as well as anyone else who helped out!

I think MLF should go just off personality more than anything. Would make for much better tv I don't find it hard to believe about kvd he hasn't had that good of a year. Never made a top 12 this year... E squared won't win it though. My prediction anyway.

Gman is great. Why is he not on MLF? I'm really pulling for Paul mueller now.it would be incredible to see a nation spot win. Plus I Saw him win the eastern divisional.

One thing I noticed just by your responses, just relax a little if you see a guy catch a fish don't get mad. Observe. Notice how he is fishing what he is throwing that info alone can help you determine what stage there fish are in (seems like its spring for you Florida folks) or what thrush are holding on. Don't get me wrong I know how much it sucks to watch other peoples success and not know how they do it even though you are putting the time and effort in. Just slow down and have fun, the fishing will come.

I'm a huge fan of Martins finesse style but don't really like his attitude at times... For lack of a better way to describe it he becomes very childish if something doesn't go his way

MCS, having some decent luck haven't had the opportunity to hit any ponds yet will do so tomorrow. Went out on the big O and couldn't find clear water so I fished the rim canal not knowing the lake well enough to run around a bunch ended up with 5 or 6 total and one above three pounds all caught flipping hiassin. Also hit the river and landed a nice barely slot redfish on my second cast. But no other luck than that.
