  8. Too bad Cobbe is awful... Im not sure if I like that the lakes are all smallies. I really did enjoy the visual fishing on chataqua and istokpoga. Just makes for better TV in my opinion. But I hate the spoilers they have on the main page of the website... ruined more than one show for me. I think that its a very hard thing to emulate someones style of fishing and be truly sucessful with it.
  9. Why a hollow body? I use them because I can let them sit and you can throw them in much nastier cover than soft plastic frogs. If its boring you may be doing it wrong. Depends on the frog and situation, but I would be willing to say on a good day its around 75% but I fish my frogs very slow compared to most people. Not to say its not lower alot of the time. Some of my biggest bags have been frog fishing. Because I can, 14 pounds and 4th out of 35 boats (all caught frog fishing)
  10. Ive been run off the few times ive fished ponds over by my moms house by residents and even a maitence guy because there was no sign on the way I came in. I guess I will just try to act like i belong at a few new spots this trip and see what happens. Thanks I will for sure get a license. It's the one thing I don't mind spending money on.
  11. In Jacksonville looking at some schools next week before I move. I will be in the Jacksonville beach area. Anyone know what the beach/river is doin right now? Im having the hardest times finding places to fish bass that I know are legal. Can anyone give me the name of a few places that fishing is allowed and I wont get hastled? Also managed to sneak in a trip to Okeechobee on a whim, anyone heard whats goin on there? I know these are alot of questions but if someone could help me out I would be very gratefull.

  13. I have no facts on this, but my guess would be that it almost burns the wound shut. Or that it retracts the blood vessels causing the bleeding to stop. Rumor has it its the citric acid in the soda.
  14. To answer your question no Maine does not have any requirements on the release of fish after tournaments. Very interesting study for sure! Good food for thought.

  16. Chap is where I basicly grew up. The key to the lake that i figured out very late to that lake is bread. Seriously, anything that swims in the lake will eat bread. Ive caught many 4 pluses there while fishing for carp with small trebels and bread. The small red circle is a shelf where the main lake channel goes, every species of fish folllows that shelf. This is top secret stuff but now that im out of state, have fun for me.
  17. The tackle shop right in Portland does a great job. http://thetackleshop.net/

  19. wow good one! Sounds like no one was hurt which is good.
  20. It all depends on the day and lake. If i had to say where i caught more fish it would be around 10 feet or so.
