What Are You Going To Work On Next Year?
I just purchased my first boat in oct so there's not a single technique that I won't need to work on. It should be a interesting year! I'm thankful for the generous folk here at BR. The main reason I became a member and not just a passing viewer!

Winter Pool.
Ahhhh makes a lot of sense!

Winter Pool.
I was curious if anyone could tell me why the corps of engineers pull lakes down 20+ feet during the colder months in the year.

Kentucky, Tennessee Or ?
Land Between the Lakes is a beautiful part of Kentucky and like rhino joe said, there is more available fishing waters then a single man could ever hope to cover. A large portion around LBL is not greatly developed so buying property will not cost you an arm and a leg.

Same Fish !?
You mentioned that you caught the fish in the same spot. I believe the fish get comfortable especially in rivers or any water with current. I fish a spot where our local wastewater treatment plant discharges in the river. The water there has a much higher concentration of dissolved oxygen and there is some what of a slack area from the current. Every time I would stop by that spot it always seemed like I would catch the same 3 fish. Probably the 3 most educated fish on in that river now!

Soft Plastic Storage
I tried the ziplock approach and I felt like it was hard to dig out exactly what I was digging for. I use some $3 totes with lids that I found at Walmart. The packages that the plastics come in fit perfectly and when filled up and the packages stand straight up and easy to thumb through. I labeled each tote with the type of plastic and ordered them by color inside. Very quick neat and organized.

What Are These?
I was out on the lake yesterday and I noticed these "sack" looking things hanging from limbs and logs that are becoming exposed from the lake being pulled down. They king of look like a white brain but are really "solid". Any idea of what they are? I tried to post a picture but it would only let me post it really small.

A Rookie From South Central Kentucky
In the past year I have been working to step up my bass fishing game. This forum has been a huge source of information. Until 3 days ago I've been beating the banks almost daily before work. I picked up my first boat Wednesday (Bass Tracker 175 txw) and took it out to barren river lake Thursday and Friday and realized how much I still needed to learn. I figured this would be a great place to start!
