My buddy used to keep a bass or two in his tank (not quite sure of the size) and it was interesting to see how they responded to weather changes, pressure changes etc. We would also see how they reacted to different lures (no hooks) and soft plastic presentations.

I wear Costas with the cheater lens since I can't tie a knot without them. I do think there is a significant difference between cheap and quality sunglasses, just depends if you want to invesst the dollars to protect your eyes.

When I head North to NH to fish the CT River and it's impoundments I always use a light wire steel leader when I fish any hardbait that I don't want to lose. I've lost more than my share of topwaters and jsrkbaits to toothy critters fishing up there.
