  1. That's so sad. My son and I were bummed to hear this. My son used to think he was the coolest kid on the block back when he used to ride and board. We watched tons of his training vids in hopes to learn to ride like him. RIP Dave. You're a legend.
  2. Do we start calling Hootie "Doc" now?
  3. Only if it's on youtube Give us some examples. Let's hear em! And just epic by Sebastian at 4:30
  4. Lots of good Rock/Metal screams out there but here are a few of my faves: Gotta have Rob Halford in the group. First few seconds And a lot of people have never noticed the fine scream in the background of this one by Steve Perry at 2:28 And don't leave out Sammy in this one at 4:06 I know, I'm a little passionate about my music; especially vocals. So you got any favorites?
  5. Very nice! Welcome.
  6. Exactly! So why do they insist on throwing a shakey head for 8 straight hours without a bite? You would think they would know that...
  7. I haven't been on in a while so this may have been asked but I was watching MLF and these guys are zeroing and having a hard time catching 1 single fish in 8 hrs. Do they not know about the Ned? I doubt it. They will literally throw a shakey for 8 hrs without a bite but not pick up a TRD? I understand throwing your confidence bait but geeze....
  8. My buddy got a finder for Christmas and was looking for ideas for ways to mount it. I remember seeing a multi-multi page thread about things we have done to deck out our yaks. Anyone have this thread saved or marked?

I see the pros are all wearing these in heavy, hot sun; even dark colors. Do they really cool that well that you can wear a dark color in the summer? Any experience with them?
  10. What's the year, make and model? And is it still the factory layout?
  11. Is that one I linked a good one for my boat or is there another you would recommend? That's my plan.
  12. Thank you folks; going to pick one up and install this winter. Does this mean I can do away with the filter on the engine?
  13. One of my customers in my shop yesterday started some small talk and come to find out, he owns and runs a marina in my area. We got talking gas, water, ethanol etc... and he said I should install a water separator inline in my fuel line. I have 96 Nitro with a 75hp Merc on it. I thought it would b a good idea but wanted some other opinions on it. He suggested something like this with just a thread-on replaceable filter: http://www.starmarinedepot.com/seachoice-universal-fuel%2Fwater-separator.html?gclid=CKqp1bezlcoCFdMYHwodcNMLfg Anyone else install one of these? Thoughts?
  14. I have yet to see a vid where a fish was caught on one. Definitely a fisherman catcher!
  15. The fishing is horrible in Maine; no need to visit this place.
  16. This is the warmest Chistmas eve we can all remember up here in Maine with no ice so I had to take advantage of it. Launched at 6:30 and threw some buoys on a point that runs from 10-12 fow to 40 fow. Caught a bunch of white perch and crappie on a blade and only a few bass so we went to the bank and beat em up on jerkbaits. My buddy and I ended up getting 22 bass, 2 pickerel, 1 nice brown and a good brookie on the jerk. Just a beautiful day on Dec 24th! I hope this leads to an early ice-out as well. Here's a few: Came home, washed the boat and will do some winter maintenance on it in the next few weeks.
  17. I've caught far more bass on an original Bill Lewis Ratltrap that a Redeye. I usually only throw them in spring and fall in red craw. Basically in water 55 deg down to 41 or 42. After that I go to a blade bait on the bottom. The last Ratltrap I bought, I noticed they use the KVD triplegrip hooks from the factory now; I like those.
  18. BlueBasser's are as good as they come.
  19. Bama is more of a green pumpkin/orange. PBJ is probably the most brown. PBJ just flat out catches fish.
  20. Nice post Kyle; I like how you said this is not the end-all of jig info, just what has been working for you. Great post for beginner jig fisherman. A jig is a great bass tool for sure.
  21. 7-9 on a trip to Falcon; crankbait in about 8 fow.
  22. I'm afraid to ask just what those water temps are.
