  1. "He didn't just say what I think he did....did he?" Was it a good birthday party maybe?? If so, congrats dude! Oh, and PM me in 9 months and we'll work out a price!
  2. ^^^I just glue em and leave that bait on that jighead. I have different colors already glued on different heads if I feel I need to change colors. Besides, what other colors do you need besides GP and PBJ???
  3. Do it! The short recovery and PT time is nothing in comparison to the better life you live after. I just had my 3rd surgery in 2 years (shoulder, tricep and hernias) and would do them all over again if I had to.
  4. Happy Birthday bud! If you get a new boat for your birthday, I'll take that old 189VLO off your hands!
  5. This place is as friendly and inviting as it is because of the moderation here. Simple as that.
  6. Nice job bud!
  7. Super glue the flat end of the TRD to the bottom of the head=problem solved.
  8. 3/8 is 6/16. My question is, is it common to step down the fuel line size after the bulb? Why I ask is the bulb does not pump up hard like my old one did so I'm wondering, if the bulb has 5/16 fittings on it, the connection would be loose on the inlet side of the bulb possibly pulling air? It doesn't idle good, pops and dies. I have an email into them but just curious of your thoughts as well.
  9. I just picked up my boat from the shop, having some maint done and noticed they replaced the fuel bulb and line from the bulb to the engine. My question is, I just installed a water sep/filter between the tank and the bulb and the line size is 3/8. They used 5/16 from the bulb to the engine. Is this common or should the whole thing be 3/8? 1996 16' Nitro,,,75hp Merc The bulb would have to have different size fittings on it to work properly too, no?
  10. Welcome Ron! It's all good; we love all fish here. #fishlivesmatter
  11. ^^^Some areas of the Andro have some stupid numbers!
  12. Hey Maine, good to see ya back at it!
  13. Have you tried the Cathance in Topsham? Or do the float in the Andro from the River Rd canoe portage down to Cumberland Farms; tons of smallies in there.
  14. A couple of things can cause that. Like mentioned above, burned out brushes will arc and cause smoke; if oil or other fluids have gotten in there, that could cause it; or, if the armature in the started has gotten warped over time, it will cause binding, therefore cause the starter to draw more amps and heat things inside the starter. Either way, it needs to be taken apart, find the issue, rebuild it; or just buy a new one...
  15. ^^^Thank you for sharing that vid. I learned something today.
  16. I've had my ProMariner for 2 years and it's been great; granted that's not too old for a charger.
  17. Ah, my first boat was a 14' Procraft trihull design with a 40hp Johnson. Great little boat. Not much room, as you would expect from a 14', but pretty stable.
  18. Although he wasn't my typical genre, he had some catchy stuff I'd listen to. I will say he was an extremely talented musician and it's that in which I have great respect for. R.I.P. Prince
  19. ICast?....July?.....But I need them NOW!!!
  20. lol Ya, it was cold out there! Water was 42-46 depending on what part of the lake we were in. We spent most of our time in this cove where the inlet comes in and water was 46 in there; main lake was 42. Air was right at about 32 that morning. I'll tell you what, the older I get, the less I'd miss the winters here.
  21. Thank you all for the comments, tips and info! I'm not sure if it will ever come around but I do want to know what I'm getting into before we move. I would probably go down for a week vaca, drive around and see some area before we really committed ourselves; I'd need to secure a job anyway. Btw, went out this morning for 3.5 hrs and I caught 22; my buddy got 18. I'm not sure I'm thinking clearly about this moving thing...
  22. No decision here....Rapala HJ12 was my first cast of the year.
  23. Ok, so my wife, in-laws and I have been joking for a couple of years now about selling our houses and moving to North Carolina. None of us would miss the winters up here and I have lived in Virginia before and love that area. Well, recently she has been sending me links to houses in NC! What my fear is, is that the fishing won't be as good there as it is up here. Forgive me if I'm being ignorant but I just don't know. No e-brag here but a slow day for me on my home lake is 20 bass in about 5 hrs. My buddy and I typically catch 30-35 each in 5 hours on a Sunday morning and had 2 days last year where we caught 168 one day and 189 2 weeks later, both in about 8 hrs each day. I know those are extremely rare days but, again, I can catch 20-30 on any average day. So, where in NC would you live? What are some good bass waters there and are those numbers out of the question there? We were looking at Valdese, Cary, Matthews, Garner...I don't know...we want a small town and I want water nearby. Oh, and I love my in-laws so I'd be happy to have them in an in-law apartment style house with us. Thanks for any help!

The guide I hired for my Falcon trip also does guided trips to Sugar and he is constantly saying that Sugar will produce your PB for sure. I'd love to go to Sugar or Baccarac but wouldn't hire him again.
