I just bought a used 2004 Skeeter SX190.  I'm looking to upgrade the current 2-bank on-board charger.  Can anyone recommend a decent one that won't break the bank?  I'm thinking maybe $200?

I put a ProMariner ProTournament 3 bank in my Lund when I bought it in 2005. Never any issues and it's still going.  Can't remember the price point though.

Dual Pro chargers are great. If you can find a used one, you might be able to get one in your price range. If not they have their recreational series that would work that'd run you around 230 brand new. 

I have been pretty happy with my Bass Pro XPS charger.

Dual Pro, by Pro Charging Systems, get at least the Sportsman Series or above.  Avoid Pro Mariner, had it on my brother in laws boat and my Bullet from factory, absolute junk., although they did replace both chargers under warranty with new units!

Dual pro or minn kota

Had a dual pro, went bad on me so switched to a minn kota. Completely satisfied with the minn kota and I recommend it to anyone who is in the market. 

All of the the above are good - I can add a personal recommendation for Minn Kota.

I have a Dual Pro on my Bullet.  Works for me.

another vote for MinnKota.  I've got 2 - 2 bank MK chargers in the bay boat and one 3 bank charger in the bass boat.. Never had a bit of trouble with any of them. 

I've had my ProMariner for 2 years and it's been great; granted that's not too old for a charger.

How many amps per bank do you guys recommend?  I see Minn Kota makes a 3 bank/5 amp per bank charger that is priced reasonably....

I use 5amp. If i fished tournaments i would get the biggest possible.

MinnKota MK 315. 

4-plus years of flawless operation and still going strong. Takes about 4-5 hours for a full charge after a long day of fishing.

Onboard battery chargers are known for their short lifespan, so I'm happy with getting this long out of mine.

Also, my Interstates seem to be holding up really well. A lot better than when I manually charged the batteries with a portable 10/2amp charger. You could just hear them sizzle with that.
