  1. I am thinking of heading up there this week and looking for info on it. I live an hour away and have never fished it. Im wondering where to fish mostly. Jerkbaits, Jigs and Traps will cover me bait wise, just not sure where to start my adventure.
  2. Caught this guy yesterday on Mousam Lake. I only had a chance to get out for a few hours after work, but managed 6 fish. 4 Bass and 1 brookie and 1 brown. Quite a few lakes open in York County now.
  3. If you are interested I am selling a Quantum Smoke 7'4 Heavy action rod that I bought last year. I paid $150 and Im asking $80 its for sale on craigslist.
  4. Out of curiosity Shane, how do your top water setups go? I have a 7'6 Quantum Smoke Heavy with 65 Power Pro that is strictly frogs and flipping the heaviest vegetation. I have another topwater setup that is a medium action rod with 20lb braid for pencil baits and dog walkers and another setup with 15lb mono for throwing small poppers and other tiny topwater baits. Once the spawn/post spawn hits I hardly ever put down a topwater so maybe I have an excessive amount of topwater gear.
  5. Well that plan backfired on me. I sent my xducer away last week and they just called and told me they have received an empty package from me. I have the receipt from the post office that shows how much the package weighed when I sent it out. I asked them to weigh the empty package that they received to prove that the transducer was in fact in the package when I mailed it, but they said they already threw my package away. They are currently "looking into the matter" Not sure what that will mean, but it doesn't look good to start the season like this.
  6. Not sure if i am breaking any rules here, obviously it is an electronics question, however I am looking to speak to people specifically in Maine or NH to see what chip they are running for their sonar.
  7. So which SD are you using for snapshots and other functions?
  8. Just got my new birds and never marked waypoints before. Which SD card should I buy?
  9. Sorry, hadnt had a chance to read this far ahead. I was only stating the obvious clearly. Haha
  10. You could try the new D&M Custom Piranha Beast Swim Jig. The blade colors match the jig.
  11. Not a coincidence that 2 of the best baits on the planet are the softest 2 baits on the planet. The other one being a senko.
  12. Thought so. I fished the lunker tourney with you on Mousam I believe at the end of last year. I used Waynes boat because I had just sold mine, now I own a Tracker Avalanche.
  13. What kind of boat do you have Bob?
  14. PS...You guys have a tourney on Thompson and I am beyond jealous. That was our first stop last year and it was insane. Top 3 were seperated by 1lb and 2oz. Smallest bag weighed in was like 12lbs for 5 fish. I finished 4th with 17.4 I must have culled 15 times throughout the day gaining 1-3oz's each cull. I grew up fishing that lake and had a lot of confidence in my spots and my bait. Didn't finish where I wanted, but had a fun day anyway.
  15. Maine Bass Trail....it's run by Wayne Hooper this year our club is fishing Sebago, Kezar, Arrowhead, Moose, Pleasant (Casco), and Little Sebago
  16. We should hook up here in the next few weeks once Mousam ices out. Might be 3 weeks though. It was ice fished this past weekend. I live 5 minutes away from Mousam and fish it multiple times a week and fish 2 tournaments on it every year. As far as goose pond goes, its a no if you have a big fiberglass rig. At the most there is a foot and a half of water in the culvert, but most of the time its less than a foot. Its about 7 1/2 feet wide and my boat has a 9ft beam. I used to run a tracker pro team with a 50 horse that was 5 ft wide and getting into Goose was always worth it. Funny story about "getting into Goose" About 4 years ago there was an open with 24 boats, 1 of which was a jon boat with a 9.9 Merc and it had a cooler for a livewell. He spanked us all. Clearly he was able to get up in the shallows and catch the big spawning females. Let me know if you wanna go out on Mousam id be glad to show you some spots.
  17. There is a pond in Sanford that is open and can hold large or small boats. It's very small but it's fishable.
  18. If you didn't answer Rage Craw, then you were wrong.
  19. Strange that he has a tattoo of fish, and he only started fishing a few months ago.
  20. Sorry for the rookie question, but......I see Maine guys talking on this NH forum, is there a Maine forum? I almost wet myself when deaknh03 said he was in Windham and there was open water, only to find out that he is in Windham, NH? Joke is on me seeings I am in the NH thread.
  21. Thats what I want to know. I have a small pond that holds bass that is open but I havent saved up enough money to register my new boat yet.
  22. Awesome! I currently have 15 bags of rage craws in my boat. I start every season with 5 white, 5 blue and 5 green. I throw white baby craws on beds with a darter head jig, and the green and blue colors are trailers on all of my Strike King jigs. I can't and wont fish without having a rage craw tied on.
