Best Livewell Options For Car Topper Tournament
Hi everyone. I'm fishing a Jon boat/ car topper tournament this spring and I need to come up with a livewell. I will be fishing in a 12' aluminum v-hull. I've looked up a few different options that all seem pretty similar. I'm just looking to see if anyone here has any personal experience I can draw from. Keeping my bass in the best health possible is what is most important to me. Any ideas and tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks everyone.

Pond Tournament Practice Advice
I plan to cut some hooks and take trebles off my hard baits so I can find bites without sticking the fish. Probably gonna switch to no hooks at least 2 weeks prior to tournament.

Pond Tournament Practice Advice
Hi everyone. I live in southeast Massachusetts and I'm fishing a local tournament on a smaller body of water in late April. I'm looking for any and all advice on how to approach practice fishing this lake. I've never fished here before but I know that it is just over 100 acres with max depth of 14 ft and an average depth of 8ft. I'm guessing based off other similar water in the area that visibility is about 2-4 ft. The lake is frozen now and it still probably be March before I can get on it which gives me about 6 weeks before the tournament. Because it's a smaller water I'm concerned about over fishing it while practicing. I don't want to hip too many bass to my patterns but I also want to figure the place out. Any tips, advice, or suggested links would be greatly appreciated. Thanks everyone

Winter Fishing On Shallow Water Ponds
Thanks for all input.

Winter Fishing On Shallow Water Ponds
I don't think they're dead. Zombie mode maybe. These ponds have produced 5lb+ bass so that leads me to think they make it through the seasons. I see and hear of other people catching then in similar conditions. Guess they're just in deeper and bigger waters

I should also mention most of these waters are considerably stained with 1 1/2-2 ft being max visibility and some as little as 1-2inches

Winter Fishing On Shallow Water Ponds
Hi everyone. I live in southeast Massachusetts and I'm looking for any input on winter fishing in my area. Most of what I have available to fish is smaller ponds usually 100 acres at most and some as small as 40 acres most of these with max depths of 8-10 ft. Water temps are usually right around freezing as I'm getting out on thaws between the ice. A lot of stuff I find online on this subject consists of deeper waters and warmer water temps. I would greatly appreciate any input. Thanks everyone

Tournaments In New England
I'm looking for any information on small tournaments in Southeast New England area. I only have a 12 ft boat so I understand this limits me. I would like to find something I could enter with my boat either solo or a team tournament. Another option would be a tournament I could enter as a non-boater. I've tried searching online and I wasnt able to find much. I would greatly appreciate any info on tournaments or any suggestions as to where I might find out about some. Thanks.

My First Big Jointed Swimbait
I've been wanting to start using big jointed hard body and/or soft body for a while now but haven't been willing to pay the higher prices they usually call for. Knowing this my girlfriend got me a couple for my birthday. She told guy at BPS what she knew about what I wanted and sold her a BPS Z9R baby bass and a Live Target Blueback Herring slow sink. I'm pretty much just looking to get any opinions from someone who has fished with either of these. Would appreciate any reviews, comments, or tips on these baits. Thanks everyone.

Bps Extreme Rod Vs Competition
I'm in the market for a new casting rod. Pretty sure it will be paired with the Abu Garcia RevoSX reel but my question is more about the rod. From everything I'm seeing it looks like the BPS Extreme Rods are a real good line of rods. I'm wondering is how well they size up to other rods in the $100 range as well as how they compare to rods of maybe slightly higher prices up to $150 which would probably be by max budget. I intend to get a 7+ H Fast action. Still undecided on length. Rod will be used mostly for fishing mats so very interested in the sensitivity of the rod. I know I loaded this topic up but I really appreciate any feedback. Thanks

Hydro Wave (Electronic Fishing)
This is a simple question... and it's not. I pretty much just want to see what anyone and everyone thinks about electronic fishing with technology like the Hydro Wave. I've to look around online and on this site and can't find much info on opinions and pros/cons of this technology. Most of what I've find is just who obviously have bought in and think it'd the best. I would also like to hear the other side of the argument as well.... if there is one. Appreciate any opinions and input. Thanks everyone

Looking For Suggestions For My First Flipping Rod
I've decided it's time for me to start investing in some casting set ups. Since fishing mats is my favorite and most commonly used technique I want my first set up to be suited for this purpose. I'm pretty sure I'm gong with the Abu Garcia Orra sx2. Within my price range it seems to best for what I want to do. If anyone has a better idea I'd love to hear. Mostly I'm interested in advice on rod selection. I intend to use it mostly for flipping into mats and heavy cover but might occasionally like to throw a frog on and be able to whip it out there. Please and thanks for any answers to this long winded question
