  1. I'm from NY but we're both dealing with the same horrible winter.... And why not, gonna throw a florida bucketmouth in there
  2. Welcome! Enjoy your stay
  3. I have a spool of 10lb rapala tough line monofilament... im looking to use it as a leader for my 20lb braid. Im inclined to buy a fluorocarbon or coplymer line on TW but do i really need to spend the extra $ when i have this perfectly fine spool of 10lb mono? Its stretchy, even though the spool says "low stretch" but i guess thats what you get for an $8 spool. Its really tough and strong.. just wondering if anyone has used this? Thanks, Welds
  4. They usually just choke the lure, so small hookset.. The cardinals are decent fighters, but the real fights come from the doves and bluejays. Once had a bluejay hang me up in some trees... had to cut the line. And the squirrels... they pull drag out for at least 5 minutes
  5. I'd get the 7.5" one I live in NY so i know how you feel about throwing big baits here in the northeast but trust me... they work, and pull in some lunker bass along with small ones too. edit: or the 6.5" one
  6. I have discovered a new winter hobby... with all these birds and squirrels, with plenty of bait (seeds)...... I could have some fun I call it the jig n seed note *: im not actually fishing for birds.. this is all a joke
  7. Woo!!! This gives me motivation to catch the NY state record
  8. True that option is available. But sufix is confidence for me, so why switch if what i use is perfect for me. And another point from my experience: powerpro would only last so long, while sufix lasts a really long time. Haven't needed to change for 2 seasons
  9. weak as in its overall performance, isnt as smooth, gets lots of windknots... i stick with Sufix, i wouldn't trust many lures with powerpro. Just my personal opinion
  10. Italy has some awesome bass fishing
  11. Still prefer Sufix 832 advanced, as usual. Powerpro is weak
  12. I see... ill PM you (at the top of the site by your name you'll see a number one in red and just click it to show your messages)
  13. haha how much do they run for now? It looks very realistic I know Baitsmith has gone under reconstruction and now is know as Smithbaits and they have created the Smith Baits Swim and Jig swimbait which seems very similar to their Baitsmith 5" shad... is it the same thing? Check it out on TW
  14. great bass there!!
  15. Just saw this gary yamamoto lipless crankbait released on TW. Any thoughts? Looks like it has a very detailed finish!
  16. Welcome Frank! I must know what lure is that in your profile picture, the bait monkey pointed it out to me. You'll get to know the bait monkey personally very soon....
  17. Where did you get this crankbait from?
  18. I'd kill for some 33 degree water right now.
  19. This is my current reel I use for everything pretty much, perfectly smooth; the drag is sweet. That yellow line, to be frank, is quite ugly and puts the reel down for its actual beauty. Try putting on some low vis green Suffix 832 adv. braid and it matches very nicely. My favorite reel! Definitely suggest anybody to buy one. And that cumara you have is made for this reel, it so great, I have one too. Here is my stradic ci4+ 3500 handling a 6lb flordia largemouth (didnt have the cumara in florida with me)
