And you are a grown man??? I am 16 and I have already learned to not give two hoots about how people think I look. Man up!!!- Best Season For A Spinnerbait?
- Today I Caught My New Pb!!!
Awesome! That is a fat bass for sure. Now go get that 7lber swimming in there!- Braid For Spinning Reel
Sufix 832 advanced, in 20lb test. 10 lb is too light, for me at least. Never have break offs with Sufix 832 adv unless I tie a bad knot. Plus it lasts FOREVER. Also, Spiderwire is garbage, worst line I have ever, ever used. Dont get it Good luck.- Squarebill Crankbaits Confuse Me
I really do not know what you are doing wrong. It may be the body of water, because even casting in open water I get fish on squarebills.- Soft Plastics Help
You might want to put the hook out infront of the plastic properly then skin the tip. Otherwise the hook just stays in the plastic.- Catching Sunning Bass
Usually any lure works for me when I run it past sunning bass.. at least in South Florida . Try a senko or a large 12" mann's jelly worm in front of their nose.- Benefits Of Braid Vs. Fluoro For Jigs
Braid- Custom Built Wooden Boats.
I would take a fishing canoe anyday, Bill- Most Realistic Baits?
Some of the frogs they make today are pretty darn realistic. Lots of high end swimbaits, like the Mattlures mentioned above, are highly realistic in all aspects.- Repainted Some Lures
I think that bluegill crank will be the first one to go! And for the highest price! Sweet paint jobs!- Texas Rigs And Jigs
I throw both in the same places. If I am looking to come up out of the water to slide my lure over floating weed mats to possibly entice a topwater strike, then it is a T-rig.- Best Uses For Monofilament Line
- Casting Rod Match
When i fish cranks i dont fish anything other than squarebills and lipless. I use my worm and jig spinning rod for cranks and everything. Im not worried about deep cranking.I could just carry along my spinning rod to use for the light stuff- Welds & Mibassin's April South Florida Fishing Trip
Lol, might want to head back to that turnpike lake- Please Suggest Rod And Line For This Spinning Reel
Check out the Berkley Lightning Shock spinning rod on Tacklewareh0use. Its only $50 and reviews say it performs way above its price point. I would get the 7' Med Lt. Looks like a perfect match with that Pflueger President. I would use 20lb Sufix 832 advanced braided line. This line has never let me down, super strong, I pull 6 lb fish with it through reeds and muck in the waters of South Florida. It has never snapped only me unless I tied a bad knot. Plus, its last FOREVER. It is a higher end line, at about $35 for 300 yds but trust me, invest in some good line and you will be thankful. Ive had this same line on my spinning reel since Spring of 2014 and it still is as strong as the day I put it on... I caught my PB of 7.5 lbs a few days ago on this line... My favorite line ever. Good luck- Casting Rod Match
Hello, I recently ordered a Lew's BB1 Pro speed spool baitcasting reel and I am looking for a rod around $100 to match it with. I am looking for a rod around 7' long and I plan to throw pretty much everything on it- spinnerbaits, crankbaits, worms, any soft plastics, jigs, topwater frogs and hardbaits, smaller swimbaits, etc. Looking for some suggestions, thanks!- Inline Versus Traditional Spinner Bait...
Spinnerbaits with double willow blades put off more vibration and flash and flat out catch bigger, and for me, more fish. Personally i see the two as entirely different lures- Welds & Mibassin's April South Florida Fishing Trip
Thanks Lou! Good luck to you this spring/summer, I believe you are due for a PB as well- Welds & Mibassin's April South Florida Fishing Trip
Last report, flying home today Things were getting quite slow, the bass weren't biting as well so I decided to try out a new lure: a Strikeking 3XD. Most ponds here are very shallow but one is almost deep enough for this deep diving crank. I was surprised when I caught this little guy: As I was finishing up I decided to tie on a jig and pitch into holes surrounded by thick weed mats. Pitched my jig in, felt a hard thump and set the hook: She weighed 5lb 3 oz Thanks to all of you who have followed this thread and I hope you have enjoyed the reports! Things were a little slower than usual at my ponds, probably due to the extremely low water levels, yet I still managed to get my PB, and MIBassin managed his as well. Not as many fish compared to previous trips.. 38 fish over 14" total between MIBassin and I, with many <14" fish in between...Seemed like mainly the biguns showed up rather than the smaller bass this time around, which is something I'm not complaining about 3 fish between 1-2 lbs 10 fish between 2-3 lbs 7 fish between 3-4 lbs 11 fish between 4-5 lbs 5 fish between 5-6 lbs 1 fish between 6-7 lbs (MIBassin's PB of 6lb 1oz) 1 fish between 7-8 lbs (My PB of 7lb 6oz) Back to my old job... catching the NY State record- Almost Doubled My Pb!!!!!!!
pics or it didnt happen Just kidding CONGRATS! You have finally got into a big one after a long time of trying! Awesome fish!- Latest Tackle Purchase Thread (Bait Monkey Victim Support Group)
Just ordered a Lew's BB1 Pro series speed spool baitcaster on TW!- Spinner Bait Fishing
I know just messin- Welds & Mibassin's April South Florida Fishing Trip
Had a great time throwing lipless cranks this evening! This 15" bass didn't seem to know how big he was... I also caught this really cool tilapia on a grub. I was so surprised because the tilapia never eat lures. New video will be coming tomorrow, stay tuned! - Went Out Fishing Today People Are So Mean
