  1. Drop Shot. Any depth, any water temp, any water clarity.
  2. I use jig heads with a weed guard so when it's muddy I can work cover. Works very well, just very down sized pitching
  3. Lots of guys use them for pressured bass on ledges
  4. Half way between a shakey head hookset and a drop shot hooket. Smallies have very hard mouths and don't get hooked as easily as largemouth. Sharp hooks and execute well!
  5. Wacky Senko Ned Rig Booyah Baby Boo Jig with a Zoom Ultravibe Speed Craw for a trailer Zara Puppy I don't need a 4th and 5th bait at that point
  6. Just check out the pack when you buy them in the store
  7. Caught a couple "swimbait dinks" on the hardgill this evening.
  8. Lol so you put the frog back into the dead bass's mouth?
  9. 2lb crappie is like catching an 8 plus lb largemouth around here
  10. We didn't get many bites and most were dinks but I got two pretty two and a halfs
  11. Illegal to shark fish in myrtle beach and the sharks must know it. Mind boggling numbers of sharks there
  12. I'm glad I live in a state where I can appreciate a 15" bass
  13. Went into my garage last night to set up my stuff for a tournament this afternoon. Found this guy hanging out on my rods. Safely captured and released him, my theory is that if I let him live he will bring me good luck haha. Since he is wrapped around multiple rods does that mean I need to junk fish?
  14. Clear water- drop shot on edges and skip a ned rig or senko underneath. Stained or muddy water I'm beating the dock to death with a jig. This is assuming we are talking about something other than winter fishing
  15. Put a beaver on your 3/4 oz jig and pitch that. Big ol hunk of stuff for a big girl to chomp down on. I like big jigs with a papa pit boss as a trailer
  16. I didn't understand how the ned rig was anything different at first. Then I learned that the Elaz tech baits float after the salt dissolves, and also become very life like and quiver constantly (not to mention the fact that they are indestructible). Putting half of a senko will catch some fish but if you want to see the effectiveness of the bed rig you need to use the z man baits. The way the bait falls is the reason it is so deadly. This bait is far from the tried and true smoke curly tail grub on a jighead. It is definitely unique. Winkiedoodles on YouTube is my source for ned rig info
  17. How about inline and colored haha? Honestly I don't think it matters.
  18. The hooks on arashis are too stout IMO for a crankbait. One time I took the hooks off of a 5 and used them for my s waver 168 when a bass straightened the stock hooks on it and it worked surprisingly well. You probably had already bent the hook out on something or it was a "dud" from the factory
  19. There is a member on another forum with a philosophy similar to "Don't share your spots, you might not be the only one who enjoys fishing them"... It's great that you are sharing for people, but if someone did that to one of my spots, I wouldn't be a happy camper.
  20. The giant (3' range) sea lampreys come into this river in the spring but I thought they didn't feed on a spawning run. One of them must have gotten hungry
  21. My friend caught this largemouth today in a small river. The fish appeared to be in excellent shape, very fat and healthy, except for this huge sore in its side. It was about the diameter of a quarter, and appeared to go all the way through the fish, there was a lump on the opposite side of the fish's body from the sore. It has been a really off year at this particular river and I'm wondering if a disease has something to do with it. The lump was right on the lateral line of the fish, you can see some pieces of dead skin where the lump is.
  22. Straight braid disproving itself again...Nice fish!
