  3. Just added some new rods. Enigma Phenom Titaniums. Going to be adding 2-3 more in the next week or 2. Did some Winn Grip wraps right away as well.

  5. I have learned over time to buy the best I can afford the first time. My Ned Rig rod has burned through 2 lews reels in a year and half and and I purchased the Stradic FJ on sale (should Have bought all of them for the $120 price on them) and that is the smoothest reel for the the money I have felt. Light as well. Not clunky and smooth drag.
  6. The Gloves i wear that are very comfortable are these http://www.aftco.com/solmar-uv-fishing-gloves-2178-prd1.htm. I don't get hooks in them and can wear them all day without feeling hot or like the circulation is cut off to my fingers or hands.
  7. The last 3 years I have always worn a long sleeve, buff, hat and sun gloves. The problem with sunscreen is it can wear off in as little as 4 hours and you have to re apply it. I would rather enjoy the outdoors the rest of my life even if I look goofy then have to have holes cut in me to remove the Big C.
  8. It's a little more money then the Black Pak but any Hobie accessories fit on it that fit on the hrail and also has holes in the side to add rod holders.
  9. My H-crate. I will get some updated pictures when I get home. Holds 7 3700 size Planos. The H-rail is the best part for attaching accessories.
  10. I used to put it in the back of the truck with a bed extender. I picked the trailer up for $225 and modified it a little and for under $250 I have a great trailer for the long hauls when I have to fill the bed with camping gear. Just have to paint it and add some home made rod pods and a toolbox on one side and it will be set.
  11. I see pictures everyday from people that don't understand selective harvest. Keeping your limit of 12-14" fish can help out the waters if your not doing it every day. When I see people keeping limits of 8-10 yr old bass in the 20-24" range full of eggs it irritates me a little. Those bass didn't grow that big by having bad genes. I don't eat bass because of the taste I would much rather eat perch or walleye. I do keep a couple 12" bass for the father in law when he requests it though.
  12. I have 2 of the Cabelas ZX rods. One is the swimbait rod and one is the frog rod. I think for the money they are worth it. I had one eye on the ZX rod break and took it back and they replaced it for me no questions asked. St Croix does make a good stick though.
  13. Used some points and picked some up. My local Cabelas does it from time to time and clears them out. When they do it locally at the 4.99 I try to clear the shelves of the colors and baits I know work for me.
  14. I am a little biased and I have fished out of both. Canoes can be very stable depending on how they are setup. Kayaks can go anywhere a canoe can and can get there faster. I wouldn't do a lot of stuff on a canoe that I would do on a kayak though. I am glad you are hooked now @prjavelin soon enough you will be very comfortable in your kayak. It would be tough to do this in a canoe.
