Florida Bass Fishing - January Edition
I went out today and caught around 15 bass between 2 ponds. Most were a pound or two but I still had fun. I've been catching all my fish on plastics with a 1/16 oz bullet weight. Caught one Tuesday morning around 7 lbs but I thought I left my phone In my car so I didn't get a pic. Trying to hurry and put her back in before anybody seen me.

I went fishing at the FBI building and another place. I caught 4 at the FBI pond on a 10inch worm, biggest being around 3lbs. Caught 5 at the other place, 2 on a 7.5 in worm. Caught 2 at the same time on my rapala. Then landed a nice one that's was about to pop.

I hadn't seen any gold shinners in Fl yet. But back in Ga we use to get them from almost any bait store. One of the best baits to catch big cat fish in the rivers.

The ones I caught was close to the grass line on the bank. I guess with the sun out today it had the shallows warmer than its been in a week or 2. They were all on one side of the pond also, don't know what that's about but I think its a lil deeper there.

I went got some baits from Dick's today and decided to stop by a lil pond on the way home. They was biting good, I caught 9 with the biggest around 3-4lbs. Had 4 to get away from me seting the hook early. Everyone I caught was off a 7in Berkleys ribon tail. Going tomorrow and trying my new smiw baits and a rapala broke back.

Try fishing a zoom black trick worm or a tequila sunrise culprit worm 7.5 in. Texas rigged with a light weight and just twitch it and fish it slow. Make sure to watch yoir line close. Soft plastics always works for me when nothing else will. Also try a brushhog or a craw. The bass are inactive right now so you gotta fish it reaaaaaal slooooow.

I just got them a week ago. My gf got me a gift card from bass pro. What's a good place to buy baits at around here with the best selection?

I went around 1:00 today and fished with a few different brushhogs. Then used a fluke for a short while with no strikes. Put on a culprit incredi craw and pitched at a drain that had water flowing in the pond and got a hit but missed it. Tossed it back and he smashed it. About a 4-5 lb bass. Would of stayed a lil longer but I forgot my hoodie at home.

Jacksonville Fl Shore Fishing Help?
Ok I've got a few I'm gonna try when the temp gets up. I live in a HOA and I've been asked if I lived in the place by a few people. I was just wondering if everybody was like these people I found.

Thanks for all of the advice. That pad crasher is awesome, after about 4inches of rain in 2 days I went the morning after and caught 7 bass from 4lb to 7 lbs in 45 mins. I've never had that to hapen again but I guess I caught them in a feeding frenzy.

Thanks I'm a bank fisher for now but will be getting a 10 or 12ft jon boat soon. I've seen tons of ponds on google earth , just hadn't been and looked up close. I've seen one behind the middle school on point meadow that looked nice.

Jacksonville Ponds
Been here for almost a year. I've been just hitting the ponds in my neighborhood but its getting old. I fish alone so I hadn't worked up the nerve yet to just stop somewhere I hadn't been and just start fishing.
