Definitely a weak part of my fishing. Feel very comfortable beating the banks, but locating, or predicting that the bass will be deep is totally new to me.

Family and I are traveling to nashville for a couple of days. Are there any public spots to bank fish? My son and I would love to wet a line while wife and girls are at a concert.

It is a great lake. I live 5 minutes from there. I have seen quite a few lunkers from the docks just grazing on top of the grass beds. Prob is, not kayaks, no tubes, no boats. So the decks and shore are your only choices. Another problem is getting them to BITE. But if you do, there area many good size fish. you enter from Byron street off of Volvo pkwy. you can either turn left into the main paking area for the park, walk down the trail and you are there, or take Byron all the way down and enter from down there. BETTER HAVE AN UPDATED LICENSE!!!
