  1. A buddy of mine and I fished tuesday night tournaments on our home town lake during the summer, and my go to bait is about 5" black and blue craw texas rigged with a pretty good size weight on it. Get the ones that are all black with blue pinchers. Also if you can get to a welll lite dam, go to it and work a big jig, in like black and junebug with black pig. Also a large 1 oz spinnerbait with the largest blades you can find works pretty good.
  2. Wow guys it looks like you are all planning this out very well. I have not checked the forum in a while so this is the first that I have seen of this trip. Ironically I am planning a trip with a good frind from March 5th through about the 9th. It is spring break for all us UTD students! By the way, thats not too early for the spawn is it? I would like for it to be in fool swing. But then again, that is about the only time I will get a chance to go. Anyway, hope your trip goes great, and keep the big ones comin!
  3. I had a friend that I fished with during the summer. We fished every tuesday evening. We finally go tot where we could fill the live well everytime, but we had another buddy who would do that plus the fish all weighed 6 7 or 8 pounds even. if we caught 10 pounds of fish he caught twice or three times as much. We eneded up following him around and he showed some spots and said get your notepad out! We fished with him side by side in his boat and he consistantly caught bigger fish, quicker. It drove me crazy. To answer your question though I think it has to do with technique and ability to get on the fish. 4 feet to the left and you missed the big one. But, that fishin. Just keep your line wet.
  4. I have caught fish that look like that in NE texas. We called em Red eyes. It was a species of brim. They are fun to catch and that is the bigggest one I have seen
  5. Where do I go exavtly to find that episode just mentioned
  6. I didnt have any corks so I went to the bank and broke off a thumb sized stick to use as a float.
  7. Hey when I go to the bass pro shops website adress that you gave me it automatically forwards me to another page in the BPS wesite. Can you tell me how to get around that. I can open the page sometimes but I can only view the vids on that first page. And when I try to go to the page another way, I just cant seem to find the correct path. Good vids so far though!
  8. Yeah I dont care to save them on my hard drive, I just wanted something to watch on some Lake Fork Fishing! Thanks
  9. Does anyone know where I can go "online" to download some free fishing videos. Preferably from lake fork or just autumn or fall fishing tips.
  10. I am going fishing this coming tuesday (NE TEXAS) and I have been watching the weather. I am not sure if what is coming is good or bad. Can someone give me an idea as to what is good bad and not worth going out in? Excluding tornadoes and Lighting storms.
  11. I have caught some decent bass n my day but never one to really get going on. I consider a fish needs to be at least 6lbs to gt excited and 8lbs for a leg kick. I am going to Lake Fork as well and hope to get one at least 9lbs or better.
  12. I personally have fished ponds all of my life. It seems that anytime I ge to a pond that is overstocked with small fish you can throw almost anything and catch fish. But to be more specific you might try to throw a frog on top of the lillys along with a texas rigged worm. Start with a watermelon color and then maybe a purple. Use about a 4" to 6" worm. Just cast cast cast. Throw up around stumps and holes that you can see and under branches.
