    I realized I might want to check out inshore reels. They may have wider spools, since they have greater line capacities.

    Wow thanks for all the great suggestions. I think I need to head to Dick's, BPS or Cabela's and get my hands on some Diawa Tatula. I fished a Citica, but found it was kind of narrow, so I sold it and bought the second Trion. I will also check our Tackle Direct. Thanks again for the great suggestions! - Patrick

    I want a wide spool low profile baitcast reel in 7.1:1. I have fat thumbs and find a wide spool more comfortable. I have a couple wide spool Pflueger Trion low profile baitcast reels that I love. Unfortunately, the Trion is out of production, and wasn't made in the 7.1:1 range. Can anyone recommend a $100 (or less) wide spool baitcaster in the 7.1:1 range? I know the Abu reels tend to have wider spools, so I'll probaly check out the Orra SX2. Thanks, Patrick
