- Go to bait for Creek smallmouth
I throw these jig heads in small creeks especially the smaller ones with either a slider or zman finesse- New rig for the river bronzebacks
Simple jig head I designed to use in the river. Has turned out great now, Have one more size to machine should be in the 1/8-1/9oz range- New rig for the river bronzebacks

Going to try a few new colors this week any suggestions, brown is coming as well as red(which would be for inshore fishing) and chartreuse. Thought about a burnt orange but indecisive- New rig for the river bronzebacks
Thanks guys can't wait to get him back on that river. Waters a little high at the time but we're going to hit up a pond in the morning- New rig for the river bronzebacks
So after fishing the local river the past 10 years, and now having two boys 3 and 5 and taking them as much as possible. Well my oldest fell in love when he was 2.5. and has become quite the little Fisher, but to help with hook ups I wanted to use an exposed hook, so started using the z man power shroomz for them and man they worked great but we seemed to lose a lot, several seemed to break and also didn't seem to hold fish well, and at$2 a pop I needed a cheaper alternative so I designed my own and they work great- First Jig head production
Mustad 3/0 and 4/0 for larger heads. Vmc #1 and 1/0 for smaller heads have one more coming will be using vmc #1 1/0 and 2/0 hopefully- First Jig head production

Close to being completed. Sizes are 1/14, 1/5, and 3/11s. #1 and 1/0 for 1/14s, 3/0 and 4/0 for both 1/5 and 3/11s. Paint will come tomorrow. Colors will be black, green pumpkin and brown. Still have to add a wire keeper to the 3/11 mold and going to increase the size of the 1/14th by a hair to make sure hook settles in lead good. But here they are, might try and get a mold in the 1/9-1/11 range here soon as well.- First Jig head production
these will be available shortly and the prices will be way more appealing than the ned rig.- First Jig head production
Thanks good to know the next one I do will have both so should work great I hope. The small size will only have wire keeper- First Jig head production
Yes, have two other sizes coming as well as a weighted shank hook. So you prefer the wire keeper over the lead collar?? My experience if you use any other bait with the wire other than the elastic kind they tear very easy. I caught 5 fish on this one the other day and was still fishable. But on another note I designed my mid size head to have both a collar and wire keeper but after this one o might take the wore keeper off- First Jig head production
First mold done, came out better than expected. Needs a few touch ups. Stands at 45-60 degree angle. Lead came out 25-26/100 which is exactly where I wanted it so basically 1/4oz. Hoping the next two are 1/7 and 1/12. We'll see. Very excited- jig head design
Dont forget about the helicopter lure- Ned rig weedless wire
those do look great, Im going to have to do a search and see If I can match wires, also like how the eye is flush/ something im trying to form on mine as well, just in a different fashion, haha. thanks for the link that really helps.- Ned rig weedless wire
So the two sizes should be 1/11 oz and 1/6 oz and I'm doing 3/0 and 4/0 hooks for the 1/6 oz and 3/0 and either a #1 or 1/0(for a more finesse rig) for the 1/11oz- Ned rig weedless wire
I like the one wire. I think it would do well just wanted some other opinions- Ned rig weedless wire
Thanks exactly what I wanted to hear did you use one strand or two. Also when I'm done with mine I'll have to get you some to try I also need to mention I mostly use the larger z man power finesse shroomz- Ned rig weedless wire
Yeah Ive used these for a while I like the weedguards not a big fan of the quality of the hook, bait keeper so in the process of making my own and wanted to see if anyone preferred a single wire guard that's a little stiffer- Ned rig weedless wire
What do you guys prefer on a weedless need rig. A sing or double weedless wire and do you prefer it to be a type of wire you can bend yourself or do you just like the ones that just kind of bounce back and are a little more flimsy. Hope this makes sense??- jig head design
yeah that's a lot of what I have read, but I've also read if patented, that someone could steal it and send it overseas, so really just wondering if I just need to keep it to myself try and sell on forums and just hope no one comes along and tries to mass produce a copy. thanks for the response- jig head design
I didn't factor in the overhead cost for the Lee pot which was 60 bucks, then where I will be making them, I'll have no cost in electricity. As mentioned these are just jig heads, not jigs, so only material I will be using are hooks, lead, bait keeper, powder coat. But ill also mention theres not much to think about as im making the bait mainly for myself as I know it will catch fish in the river I fish, but as far as my initial investment will be to make 2000 jig heads in two different sizes(actually 4 two different weights and two different hook sizes each. No stress to me initially spending approximately $700(which is very conservative) Anyways I was just curious. I guess the only factor I haven't factored in are bags. I'm also working on a label, but that is more for just fun and it might cost some money as well, but like I mentioned finances for this will never stress me, as the bait I currently use I probably spend 200-300 dollars a year on for aobut 1-150 jig heads- jig head design
Dont disagree with any of y'all, but before I sold any I would make a lot and I would only be a hobbyist so smalljaw majority of your comments arent a concern unless it takes off. But yes if it did take off then yes all you mentioned would be a concern, but I'd be so d**n happy I wouldnt care, haha. But as mentioned I'm not in it to make a killing it'd be more of a hobby and fun to actually see the jig work for people across the country - Go to bait for Creek smallmouth
