  1. How about this, Netbait thumper Worm? it has a paddle tail.
  2. all strike king swim jigs
  3. I'm purchasing some Swim Jigs today. I may need some help on some Trailers. Here's what i'm getting.. Smoke Shad Green pumpkin Bluegill Blue craw my trailers are, Zoom Super flukes. I got those in Green Pumpkin & Watermelon. I have a few bags of White. Any other colors i should get? i think those are some pretty good colors. I'd like to hear what you all have to say
  4. Keep your plastics in the bag that you bought them in. It keeps your plastics fresh. Also, if you wanted to add some scent to your plastics. You have the bags to keep them in with the scent.
  5. Awesome ideas guys! The Grass isn't to thick for Braided line. I 'd use the braided line in the Lilly Pads though. I love these type of waters. I love flippin or pitchin in this stuff. I mainly use Worms, craws and Creature type baits. Sometimes or days go by. Where it's hard to get a bite on the water. I hear a ton of splashing near the banks of the pond. I flip near the bank. They won't touch it. People keep telling me.. Oh there's no Bass in this pond! It's funny i laugh at them all the time. I guess they see all the Grass on top. They think, no bass at all. That's the best type of fishing. Again great ideas!!
  6. I have a Pond, about 3 blocks from my house. Some days it can be very tough to catch Bass. The pond has a lot of Lilly pads. Also, a ton of grass in the Pond. With all the grass on the surface. It's hard sometimes to throw Spinnerbaits, Crankbaits and Poppers. I see a ton of Sun fish and bluegills. What things can i do different, to be successful here?
  7. For one color of the Plastic worm, could be important. Depending on the main feeding for your bass in that body of water. The color does help on what the Bass are feeding on. You gotta be confident in the colors you like to use. The main colors for all plastics should be: Green Pumpkin, Watermelon Black or black and Blue, Junebug (In Stained or Clear water) Pumpkinseed and (Brown colored plastic) Red Bug. You said your fishing the plastics fast. What you want to do is... Cast the worm out. Let the worn sit for 10 seconds. Jerk your rod a few times. That'll cause your worm to shake or move around a little. If that isn't working. Swin your worm on the Bottom. Meaning, hop it along on the bottom Do that a few times. Then let it sit for a few seconds. Figure out what type of app the Bass want. Then keep doing it. If the bite slows. You change up. Change colors as well
  8. I'd go with, tackle warehouse. Big bite bites, has some pretty good Stick os
  9. I have a few Veritas Rods. I like them a lot. Are they good for Flipping. If i where to go this way, i'd go for 7 9 Heavy for sure
  10. Lews speed spool or Abu Garcia Orra
  11. I'm looking for a good flipping rod for under $100.
  12. That color works great for Creature baits as well
  13. There's a ton of plastics you can use. They serve a purpose for certain times and places. You just gotta pick a brand you like. Strike King, makes a great soft plastic. Theu have stick baits, worms creature baits and so on. Everyone is different when it comes to plastics. They work great in the summer time. The bass are slow to feed sometimes. Plastics give a great deal of dealing with a slow eatin Bass.
  14. I would focus, on areas that has Sun light. Your depth.. I wouldn't go to deep. Since most, if not all of us got a good old cold front last night and into the morning. The lure to use, until you find them is a Spinner bait. Depending on the cold front. Hopefully it didn't mess them up to bad. A spinnerbait is probably the best lure to use. Use a Spinnerbait 1st, then Jerkbaits 2nd crankbaits 3rd. If the water warms up a bit. Go back to that Football Jig. That's what i'm using now. Having good results. Although, every body of water is different. You should be fine with those lures
  15. 6.4.1 ratio is fine by me. Plus i'm a lefty. I like abu garcia more
  16. If you take car of any reel, it'll last for a while.
  17. Abu Garcia Cardinals Reels. i think that's the best for your budget
  18. I have another week or 2, before i decide on what reel i want. I will say this, I'm sure Lews is a great reel. I have 2 Abu Garcia Reels and they're very good reels. These reels are the lower end of their other reels. I'm going to buy the higher end reels for now on. Last year i got back into bait casters. Abu Garcia, made this very easy for me. I just love how the Abus are setup. I'm used to them, so i think i'll be buying an Abu. Just personal feel more then anything.
  19. Yea i got it off and cleaned. Boy did it need to be cleaned. Took me a half hour or more to clean and lube it. Now the handle is spinning like no other. i have a question for you guys as well. When i turn the Star Drag, on the Black Max i don't hear the clicking? Do you guys know what i'm talking about? Like when you adjust the drag. I don't hear that noise at all.
  20. I haven't touched it yet. Just want to lube the drag bearing. You guys know the star drag, for some reason it doesn't want to come off.
  21. I had this reel for a while now. I'm trying to get the drag off, so i an clean it. For some reason i can't get the drag off. Can anyone point me in the right direction for this?
  22. After reading your guys posts. I do like the Lews Speed Spool Reel. I also like Abu garcia Reels though. When i 1st started to use Bait Casters. I bought a Silver max, just to see where it will take me. I'll say this, that 60 dollar Reel is pretty nice for 60. Abu Garcia makes great reels. I may lean towards the, Revo 2 Gen 2. I believe it's the Left retrieve. I just don't like the all white reel. Can you get those in different colors? Anyway the posts are great guys. If i was on the water every weekend fishing to put food on the table. Well, 200 dollar revo will get my attention. I don't finish like that. Small tournaments nothing big.
  23. It's discontinued for a reason
  24. The Curodos are discontinued. I don't think i want a reel that's discontinued. I'll keep doing the Reel search. I really haven't decided yet.
  25. I'm looking for a Reel in the 100 dollar range. I'm looking at a, Lews Reel or a, Abu Garcia Orra SX Reel. Which one would you guys get? I know i could get the a Pro Qualifier, but with shipping i'd rather have the other 2 opinions
