PQ for the win. I beat mine and i love how well it handles the abuse. I've had 30lb carp on it and it was able to handle the stress.

I give my girlfriend cranks with the barb crushed so i don't take a treble hook deep in my cheek or shin.

Spinnerbait or a squarebill. Mainly because I have no luck or experience using plastics. Lol

If I take all my gear, I'll end up just taking the plastics off and putting on a spinnerbait. It's just how I am. So all the hard lures will be staying in the car next time. And Shawn, I've had the same problem when I tried to fishing plastics. I'm so use to cranks and spinnerbaits that I try to set the hook as soon as I get something.

Why not find some on here? I might have some extra bags of flukes around. How much is shipping to canada?

For me, I leave everything in the original bags and throw those into a backpack. Those boxes cost too much

I can tow up to 3500 pounds in a 2005 Toyota sienna. It's a minivan. So you should be able to tow 1500.

My local cabelas has the Purist for $49.99 and I'm contemplating on wether I should jump on the deal or not. It looks like a solid reel. I have the president and it's withstood all my abuse. Weight isn't a concern and I fish for hours but it's never bothered me. But basically, I'm looking for opinions on it. Any help is appreciated. Thanks guys!

I've been neglecting my reels. I go almost every day or about 4 times a week. My BC is caked is crap from the waters I've been fishing. Poor thing. Lol
