I was going to try one of the carbon lite combos but they were sold out today. They had the reel and the rod but wouldn’t make a combo to sell for 120. My VIP card runs out in may and I don’t plan on shopping there after that. I did get some of the bass pro brand flourocarbon. Anyone ever tried it? I usually buy red label

I'd say most boaters have been out in conditions where they knew they messed up. I did it once I'm February, the water was barely 50 degrees and I was by myself. I'm bad to not wear a life jacket but this day I refused to take mine off. I had phone out of my pocket and was prepared to get knocked in. It was a dumb move but i was catching fish and couldn't talk myself into leaving.

Finally got on a few yesterday. I fished a small tourney? Even though I didn't place I still caught fish. I had a limit quick but when the top water bite stopped it started getting tough. It felt good to get a few bites!

I've been fishing for years and tourney fishing for about 3. I have been skunked plenty of times. Mainly the first trip or 2 out. I don't get too bent out of shape because often times the water is barely 50 degrees. Now when the water temps are in the low 70s and pretty clear and I go 2 trips with out a bite I start to get aggravated. I'm going out again Saturday on my home lake so hopefully I can get on some fish!

I know a few guys that shoot squirrels while they're fishing. They can do so legally as long as the big motor is not running

I don't know if you're wanting to spend much on catfish setups but I would recommend a round baitcaster with a bait clicker on it. I like the Garcia c3s. That way you don't really have to watch your rod as close and won't worry about it getting pulled in. I've lost a pole because I didn't have my reel disengaged. We would always use a cast net to catch shad and use them as cut bait.

I picked up a pack of ned rig hooks the other day but never tied one on. The water conditions have been pretty good and everything tells me they should be feeding up shallow or in cover but just can't seem to find them. Going to try and find a tourney Saturday. I'm due for a good day lol

I don't see many bass boats that have a 50 hp motor or lower on them. Most trackers I see have atleast a 60. I think you'd be better off just fishing standard rules with a smaller enrty fee. From what I can tell most(not all) of the guys that spend tons of money on big tourney rigs want to fish the bigger higher stakes tournaments. I like the idea though. Gives the working man a chance.

I've been out 2 times now without a bite! I've had plenty of bad days but I don't think I can ever remember going 2 trips in row with out a bite. Any of you guys experienced this?

I should have said that it's a minn Kota maxxum and yes they are in sync but I have fished out of other boats and they all seem to be the same except for mine. I didn't pay much attention to it until a guy was fishing out of mine and was having a hard time and they pointed it out. It's bothered me ever since lol

How do I adjust the direction of my trolling motor in relation to the angle of my foot pedal? I'd like for the arrow to be pointing straight when my pedal is laying flat. Right now when my pedal is laying flat the arrow is at about the 3 o'clock position, I'd like for it to be at the 12 o'clock position when the pedal is flat. Has anybody ever made these types of adjustments?

It's only 600 acres so I couldn't imagine that many boats. It was crowded last weekend. I was lucky enough to fish it once during the week, me and 4 other boats shared the whole lake
