Calling Aluminum Boat Anglers!!
This is very accurate. I think if you plan on fishing a lot of tournaments you may want to look into getting a fiberglass boat. Don’t make the same mistake I did and in a few years you regret not biting the bullet and getting a bigger boat. For what you spend on the top end aluminum boats you can get a fiber glass.

Calling Aluminum Boat Anglers!!
I’ve got a tracker 190 with a 115 on the back. I’ve fished several tournaments out of it no problem but honestly I’m ready to trade it in and get a glass boat. I’ve already out grown it. I’ve got it stuffed full of rods and tackle and I’m also wanting a little more speed and hate getting blown around in the wind. If you’re dead set on aluminum I wouldn’t over look the trackers. They don’t have the best reputation but mine has been solid and I’m not easy on it. I’d just stay away from bass pro or cabelas and find a local dealer.

Boot recommendations anyone?
I work outside every day in all weather conditions. I’ve owned red wings, timberlands, Justin’s but none of them compared to the ariats I have now. I’m on my 3rd pair of them. The first pair I had leaked after about 6 months and ariat gave me a new pair no questions asked. They only leaked because I was in about 8” of water for about 16 hrs straight trying to stop a gas leak. Took them in that weekend and all they said was a 220 dollar pair of boots shouldn’t leak after 6 months. https://www.ariat.com/P13608_M_FOO.html?dwvar_P13608__M__FOO_color=RYE_BROWN

Moving from CA to NC....
I’d skip Kentucky lake and go on to Cumberland. Both are going to be tough this time of year but the night bite should be good at Cumberland!

Boaters tossed out without kill switch
It almost looks like the motor trimmed it’s self back down? I’m trying to figure that out as well. What kind of boat is this?

Invasive species effect on LMB?
I know a lot of guys that couldn’t wait to get to Kentucky Lake every year. Those same guys are now going to guntersville for their yearly trip because of how bad the situation is at ky lake. I’ve been following it and it’s not looking good.

Has anyone installed one of these?
Fished Friday had some water come in the boat. Had a few gallons come out after pulling the plug. Fished a tournament Saturday and it was bone dry lol. Idk what’s going on

Going Fast
In his defense it usually doesn’t seem as bad when your the one behind the wheel but I know what you mean. I went with a buddy of mine and he was hammering down trimmed all the way up and I came to terms that we were going to crash lol. I don’t think he was showing off I’m pretty sure that’s just how he runs it because he just wants to start fishing. My aluminum boat will do around 50 when I want it too but I usually stay mid 40s maybe just a little slower if the water is rough or a lot of boat traffic.

gas for heating / cooking / advantage ?
I work for a natural gas distribution company and I’ll say that even though some things have happened, natural gas is safe, cheap, and reliable. I would have a licensed hvac check all the appliances to make sure they work properly and are safe. If you buy a home and the gas service is off, the company should test your line to ensure there is no leak. Anytime you think there may be a leak company’s have guys on call 24/7 that are more than happy to come out and check(just don’t call at 2:00 am and tell the tech you’ve been smelling it since last week lol) if you have an option I’d go with gas. Also if power outages are an issue where you live you can have a generator installed fairly cheap. If you have any questions I’ll be happy to answer them if I can.

After talking to other guys with the same boats I’m almost positive it’s coming through the bilge pump out. I’m going fishing Friday and Saturday. No chance of rain so I’m thinking of plugging it and keeping an eye on it just to be sure. I usually come off plane pretty easy and the only time I give it much gas in reverse is backing off the trailer when I’m by myself. I probably shouldn’t worry about it but when I pull the plug and I get a little water it aggravates me lol

Truck/boat colors
I’ve got a white tundra and grey tracker. Thinking about getting a nitro and it’ll definitely match the truck lol

First time for me this year
I would’ve said something. I’ve been in the same situation. We were fishing and some guys idled past us about 10-15 yards and dropped the trolling motor. My parter put turned the tm up and went strait to them. We started throwing right at there boat(I caught a keeper on a spook litterly 5ft from their boat) the guy tried to get smart and my partner literally just said “buddy you pulled up on us and I’m not going to take any $hit. If you want to keep fishing here it’s a public lake and I can’t stop you but I’m not going any where.” I started laughing and those guys were not happy. I honestly thought we were going to end up fighting. Some will say it’s not worth it but I disagree. I’ve always been taught to stand up for my self and that’s what I’ll do. Even if I do get my tail whipped lol

It is above the water line but when the back of the boat gets heavy, like when a bigger guy is back there with a full live well and the water is rough I believe some water splashes in. I’ve talked to other tracker owners and it seems to be a some what common problem. Trying to upload a pic but it’s too big

Has anyone installed one of these? I haven’t found any videos online. I think I’ve got some water running in through my bulge pump out. I’ve heard these fix the problem but not sure where or how to install. Boat is a 2016 tracker 190 txto

Best Bass Boat (for me)
I currently am looking at switching to fiber glass. I think I’ve got my tracker 190 sold and now I’m freaking out a little because I have no idea what to buy next. I do know I want a fiberglass boat but that’s it at this point. I had a friend price his ranger and it was well below what I thought he was going to say but it’s a 14 model. I honestly want to buy new.

Best Bass Boat (for me)
I’ve been eyeballing the Vexus aluminum boats

what is the deepest you have ever caught a LMB

Auto Inflatable Life Jackets
Have any of you guys wore yours in heavy rain? I’ve got a mustang auto inflatable and always wear my old one when it rains after hearing stories of guys having them go off in the rain.

Go big or go home
This past weekend we swung for the fences and it paid off. I caught a keeper on a jig in the first 5 minutes of fishing. We fished jigs and cranks for the next 4 hrs without a bite. Come 1:00 we knew we had to do something. We completely changed what we were doing. 1:30 my partner caught a 5lber on a dock. Then the wheels started turing. We pulled up to a bank and caught 3 keepers in 30 minutes off this bank. We only caught 6 fish all day but We ended up weighing 19.52 and getting second. it was an awesome day. That’s the biggest sack I’ve weighed in so far! Now my goal is to bust 20lbs.

How Do you Guys Afford Your Boats?
You just have to ask yourself is it worth it. Is it worth saving up and paying cash for one or is it worth the monthly payment. I financed a new tracker put a good down payment on it and stretched the loan out as long as I could. Now I wanted my payment low as possible but I usually pay double payments excluding a couple months a year(Christmas, vacation, etc). I work my butt off, last check I had about 60 hours of over time on it. To me it’s worth it. I enjoy my weekends. I try to fish atleast 2 tournaments a month plus fun fish. If you think you can get your moneys worth out of it go for it. If it’s just going to sit in the driveway I wouldn’t do it

Worst thing a BOATER has done to you
I stick to team tournaments where I can choose who I fish with. Typically I have one partner who also owns a boat. It sounds a lot easier than the boater non boater thing. If we’re fishing and I break off my parter jumps on the trolling motor and picks right up. If I’ve ran the trolling motor 3-4 hrs and want a break we switch. Sometimes we’re both up front sometimes one will go to the back. I’ve thought about trying out BFL as a non boater but it seems like there’s a lot of complaints. I like winning but at the sane time I work 60plus hr weeks so I like to enjoy it

Night fishing
Do you guys use a black light?
-
Night fishing
All the tournaments around here are switch to nights. That being said I’ve never been much in night fishing but I’m going to try and get into it. I need to know what I need to get set up correctly. Blacklights, spotlights, line, baits. I’m not sure what I’m getting into. I’m open to all suggestions.

Geese Issues
If you charge back they will run. I watched a guy catch one lol. He literally dove on it and that thing was freaked out

Team tournaments / Jacob Wheeler
He showed up to a small tourney in KY a few years ago and you should’ve seen the look on everyone’s faces lol. Needless to say he won and to my knowledge has never been on the lake
