Help With Shimano Sustain 2500 Fg
so i have used my shimano sustain 2500 fg for 2 seasons now and love the reel. it has always been very strong and smooth and puts up with lots of fishing. i caught many 10-20lb carp, 10lb striper, countless bass, and even a 15lb cownose ray with it. i was fishing last week at a saltwater spot and when i got home i rinsed it like i always do. now i feel slight resistance and grinding with it. i am careful around sand but you never know. i pulled it apart to regrease and clean it up which helped a little, but it isnt the quiet smooth reel i have adored. i feel resistance at specific points when winding it slowly. anyone have any experience here? is it the ball bearings or is it another part that needs replacing? the bearings are sealed but maybe they need to be reopened and greased(just not sure how). i also hear a squeek when i wind the reel but cant imagine what it could be coming from since i regreased and oiled the reel so carefully. all help is appreciated, i would prefer not to send it back to shimano for repair.

Mystery Fish
me too. i recognized it immediately. since they are invasive, are you supposed to kill them?

Shallow Water Lake Help
i fish some smaller shallow lakes in upstate ny. i find that crankbaits, spinnerbaits, poppers, and frogs are most successful. just focus on areas near and around cover. make sure you spend most of your time in the mornings and evenings. just keep moving and watch for movement and baitfish. the bass arent usually far behind their food sources.

Fishing Greenville, Nc
i have family that moved to greenville so i visit when possible. i was last there in summer 2013 and the river was flooded so i took to some smaller ponds. i was able to get my kayak on there but they appeared to be heavily fished since there was fishing line all over the trees and the largest bass was 12 inches. i am hoping some people here can tell me of better spots and techniques/lures that are more successful. i dont plan to take anyones secret spot since i am there once or twice a year and strictly catch and release. all help is appreciated, especially if they decided to take me out and show me the area. .

Canal Behind Falls Shopping Center Miami
i fished this area from the bank, in august, from the drainage pipes behind the mallall the way down to the first overpass whichis surprising that boats can get through. i had no luck but did see a gar, mayan cichlids, and many pleco suckerfish (not carp, they dont have the right mouth to bite anything). it seemed pretty void to me and i walked the bank as far as i could. there has to be better areas. i was fishing the evening and was limited as to how far i could go. no hits but it was one time as i was driving through.

Susquehanna River Advice Needed!
i fish it in binghamton ny. hooked a rather large tiger muskie once, was an amazing moment of my life. i learned that green mister twisters with a 1/4 oz jighead bounced on the bottom was the most effective. lots of smallmouth bass and walleye. some trout as well as large carp. you never know what will hit your lure. square bills work too.
