I Just Ordered Two Setups But Have A Question
I just ordered the Abu Garcia Black Max 6'6" MH combo and a Pflueger Trion 35 spinning combo. I want to use both for various techniques and eventually start buying specific rods. My question is if you were starting out with these two what line would you use on each and why? Thanks!

Are These Any Good?
Dicks has a sale $20 off $100 and free shipping, I might just have to bite the bullet and order both rod combos, and i just noticed if I buy a Pflueger Trion Reel I get a Berkley AMP rod for $1 not sure if they are any good or not

Are These Any Good?
I have seen a lot of posts on the PQ's most people love them. I am really looking for something to start with see what I like etc... and then start upgrading this winter. The reels and rods I have now are just really old and never had a good combo with any ot the rods I have so I am just going to go new. Then maybe I can figure out something to do with the old stuff I have. This is what I have now. I will check out the Lew's. Thats another one I see a lot people love! Are These Any Good?
Thanks! Do you have any suggestions for under $100 to start out with? Or maybe a one all around rod & reel for about $150 and just get one rod instead of two?

Are These Any Good?
Yes i to have read some good things snout both reels but nothing about the rods. But i think i will indeed buy both and upgrade the rods later. Now i need to figure which models. I see they have power listed but not tip action. I guess they would be about the same for each model maybe.

Are These Any Good?
Thanks, i am looking for a baitcaster and a spinning rod combo with a price range up to $100 each to get started. From doing some reading on here seems i need a rod for cranbaits , one for soft plastics, and one for lighter baits. There are a lot of options out there and i am trying to weed through the all. I would love to buy all three for around $200 or less.

Here Is What I Have For Possible Combinations
The "anybody " was more for bump back to first page. They are off the wall rods, can't find much about them . The one i listed as spinning rod was the only one thst said it on the rod. Might just buy the Abu Garcia Black Max combo and the Pflueger Trion combo and then play with these later. I would rather go with two decent rod then go with rod & reels that wont work together

Suggested Rods For A Beginner
I am hoping that 1 or 2 of the rods I have in Lynchburg at my girls house I can use and spend more money on reels and not need to buy rods, but I will see on Sat. I will post on here what I have and see what you think. I know one of the 2 baitcasters that are old, one has never been used simply cause I couldn't get it set up. Unless I had heavy weight on it I couldn't cast to the other side of the street. LOL! So I never used it.But, I might be able with your help get it set up we will see

I also have a few rods and I think 2 baitcasters at my girls house. I took everything there a few months ago to get ready for spring and take to the camper. I will be there this weekend. I will post the 2 rods and the 2 baitcasters I have see if they are worth anything and if they will work with each other or not. Thanks for all the advice so far.

Suggested Rods For A Beginner
I agree that quality is better than quantity. I just want to start out with something cheaper and get a feel for what I like then buy a better rodand reel. I will spend money on a good rod and reel and have for Fly Fishing in Orvis and Sage because I know what I like and what fits my fly casting. When it comes to Bass I have no idea, its been so long since I have fished on a lake. I had always used Open Face reels and years ago I bought a Shimano Baitcaister and loved the feel of it, but never could get it dialed in to where it would cast good. Just never seemed to cast far at all. That was probably 20 years ago and the last time I was fishing for Bass. I just hate the thought of spending $100-$500 on a rod and reel and hate it, lol!

Suggested Rods For A Beginner
Looking for a few rod combo's that run less than $75 each to start with. Any suggestions? Will be fishing Lakes for Large and Smallmouth mostly but really anything that bites, lol! Was think I need a rod for fishing Plastics Carolina Rigs. A rod for Buzzbaits, Spinners. Maybe one for Toppers, Jerk baits etc.... was trying to keep it around 3 Rods to start off. What Rods do you suggest. I am doing some research but some things might have changed for people since one of the posts I am reading. Thanks a head of time for the help

New From Virginia And Need Advice!
Hello I am new to the site but not new to forums. My name is Andy I live in Lynchburg, Va. I have been out of fishing for many years. Years ago I did right much Fly Fishing for Trout and some Bass Fishing. My wife's parents got a place at Smith Mt Lake this past fall. YAY! I will be spending many weekends there and I want to get back into fishing I have missed it and every year I say I am going to start again. I am looking forward to many weekends with my son, his grandaddy, Michelob, and some fishing poles. I am going to start another thread on what equipment I should look at getting, mid-range price wise. What suggestions people have as far as Rod & Reels to get. I have some old stuff and I think I want some new stuff to start with. I have plenty of Tackle. I am just so far out of the loop for whats what and how, etc.... I know nothing about the new reels, rods etc... so any help anybody can give would greatly be appreciated.
