Bavass

So for Xmas this year I got about $300 in gifts cards for Bass Pro. I want to either add to my rods with a new setup or replace a rod. Below are the 5 rods I carry on my kayak. I would also like to make sure what I am throwing on these rods and then I can determine what I want to get new or replace. What would you throw on each of these rods and what would you add or upgrade for Bass Fishing. Im fishing in Central Virginia not really catching anything big a lot maybe 5-6lbs. Thanks in advance. I want 1 crankbait rod that can throw most crankbaits. Square, shallow, deep etc..

Im looking for advice on a all around crankbait rod that will throw just about any crankbait. I do a lot of kayak fishing and want to stay in a 4 rod set up. I have 3 rods now and want a crankbait rod. What is a good all around crankbait that will throw most crankbaits? I have a few I am looking at one is the Phenix Crankbait Casting Rod Glass 7'0", other is the ST. Croix Mojo Bass Glass 7'2". Any othr suggestions or experience with either of these 2 rods would be great. Will prob pair the rod with the Abu Garcia Revo Winch. Thanks in advance!

I hear there is a road that was once where the lake is and that you can find it on sonar. Does anybody know where the road begins? I want to fish that spot this Thursday and want to get in general area and then can prob locate it on my Lowrance. Thanks

Hmm i think i actually have a Pflueger 35 on a rod im not using. Cant remember if its a Pres or a Supreme on rod im not using. With the price of $60 i could order 2 rods and use the reel i have. I need to replace a bait caster with a snapped tip. Hmmm might just order 2 Med Hvy rods

I have had a blast fishing Texas Rig this year and want a new rod. I am currently using an old KwikStick Rod and a Trion Reel. I want to upgrade. I am looking for a spinning Rod and Reel for under $200 from Bass Pro for fishing Texas Rig and Carolina Rigs. Where I fish there is not a lot of cover, I fish from a kayak along the bank and there are some limbs, and brush but nothing crazy. What rod and reel would you buy? Thanks

Looking to meet some for bass fishing in the evenings on weekdays. Been bass fishing a short while. Spent most of my life fly fishing for trout. Im 47 years old and want to meet up and fish with new people to gain knowledge and have fun. At the moment im a bank fisher but by spring look to have a fishing kayak.

Man I wish I was at the lake more. I would love to hook up with you. I am a newb and would love the teaching. I am usually only at the lake after my 6 year old plays her Softball game on Sat mornings. My in laws just put a camper up at HalesFord Harbour.

Is line conditioner worth it or is it just Snake Oil?

I am looking for people in the Waynesboro area to do some fishing with. I really don't know that many people in the area, I spend most of my time in Lynchburg on the weekends with family. But, usually one weekend I stay in Waynesboro and just chill out. I don't have a boat. I am a beginner to be honest. I use to do a lot of Fly Fishing but most of my friends quit years ago and so I did to. Never really did a lot of bass fishing but a little. I have been saying for years I was going to start fishing again and this year my girls parents put a camper at Smith Mt Lake and bought a Pontoon boat. So with that I decided this year dang gummit I am going to take advantage and start fishing again. So I brought out the old tackle, bought a few new rods and here we go. So if you want someone to tag a long send me a PM.

Is there a lot of difference between the books on Large and Smallmouth Bass? Is it worth it to get both?

I was wondering if anybody could suggest a good book about Bass. Not so much fishing Bass but learning about Bass. How the react, why they react ect..... I want to learn as much as I can about them to make me a better fisherman. Plus it gives me something to do on the days I can't be on the water. I know there is about everything I can want to learn on the internet but sometimes I just want a good book. There are 1000's of books but was hoping someone could suggest one or more that they have read? Thanks!!!

I have a Pflueger Trion 35 Spinning Reel & Rod that i can throw lighter stuff on. i just like the feel of the Baitcaster better. I guess i will stick with Spinning for lighter lures. Thanks
