  1. What caliber rifle would you say I could drop him with? I want to be able to just drop him so I don't have to lug his fat butt back to the truck. And so the video on Fox News looks better too. Haha
  2. I've been mainly talking to red earth about this in a private message chat. The same stuff keeps happening but I did get a dead snake on my porch that was stretched and pointed right at my door and I had left. A bucket of baseballs out with the lid on and when I got back from a weekend in Atlanta the lid was back on but some baseballs were gone. I went back in the woods with my friend a looking for anything and we found a couple of the baseballs next to a dear carcass that was probably 2 days old but all the good meat was gone. There were some spots I could've gotten a little meat form body it was mostly picked clean. It wasn't from a poacher because number one, there weren't best cuts like it was field dressed it was basically torn and a poacher would take the whole thing in my mind. I haven't seen ole bigfoot yet but I have sent some calls like on Finding Bigfoot and I got some possible wood knocks and some load deep moans. I also heard a tree get pushed over and fall to the ground which echoed through the whole area so loudly last night while I was outside playing guitar. I went and checked this morning and found a tree that had been punched over and snapped. It was roughly 30 feet long and about the width of my leg and it looked like a super healthy tree that just ft broke about 4 feet up form the ground. I'm also missing a baseketball that I put out last night. I'll keep updating on this because it appears it's more active again. Talk soon
  3. If you had a weekend free and you were able to go over to calling panther lake in crystal springs, you could find some good bass right about now. I mainly fish ross Barnett too but with it's huge size and how divided it is, it's hard to find the largemouths on a regular basis. In calling panther, my first location is always on the channel. I have found crankbaits can pull them up if you are on the edge. There are lots of baitfish like shad and bluegill so choose your colors to look like them. In the mornings, find a spot where the are a cluster of the dead trees in the water. There's a couple that are up closer to the boat launch and I have a lot of success with that. One more thing to try is burning a spinner bait near the trees the hang over the water. I don't fish there much but when I do those are my main tactics that pay off for a great day of bass fishing.
  4. In blue ridge lake I've been catching them solid this year. They are tending to be shallow by docs on days when the water is cool and clear. If you can find a cove with some private boat houses on your boat you'll more than likely be right on them. Mostly I catch them on plastics. Which one depends on the clarity as it varies a lot. Since blue ridge in mainly trout fished thd bass seem to be super aggressive to anything. Even the bigger bass are coming on 3-4 inch worms which is due to the cooler water but if you hit the lake midday at it's warmest you can have a lot of success on plastics. A jig could also work because I think the bass might actually eat small trout. Hope this helps anyone who needed some advice on blue ridge lake.
  5. I took about 5 cane poles and jammed them down into the bottom of the lake in about 5-8 ft of water (depending on rain amounts) it is my go to place and I catch at least 50 a day. I also tried out a submersible light one night and you should've seen them. I could've almost stepped out on the water and walked accross them they were so thick.
  6. I hate to say it but that story just makes me believe in the possibility of Bigfoot more. Do we honestly think that a 3-4 year old girl is going to fake a Bigfoot? And she doesn't even know what they are? But that's crazy a Bigfoot coming into the house and giving the girl a bloody nose.... What do you figure she means by they "talk" to her?
  7. How do I download them to post? I have absolute no idea.
  8. Holy moly. I can't get my dog to sleep at night. Out of fear that it's a bear I keep ole scout my trusty hunting dog inside. He just won't shut up. He just sits at the door until the point in the night that he just whines his butt off. Almost like a little dog with someone standing over him with a whip. That's why I think it's a bear. Wouldn't he just bark till he seized up if it were anything smaller? But sir that is one heck of a story and I highly doubt you are kidding because that was one long paragraph that somebody faking wouldn't write. But anytime a Bigfoot story comes up you kind if think in the back of your mind "are they lying?" But I believe you. That's one experience that I would never forget.
  9. Feel free to share any stories y'all have. I'm sure most of us would be interested in hearing.
  10. Have you had an encounters before?
  11. The apples that I left hanging from a tree are gone... I hung them at my head heigh around 6'6" off the ground. I'm not screwing with anybody. I swear this stuff is really happening. I'll check for any signs tomorrow it's far too dark now.
  12. I'm gonna be so bummed if the action stops tonight after getting this good advice. So what kind of stuff should I try tonight if I go "squatching" I'm not sure if I'll make it back home soon enough though. I did leave apples and grapes out too
  13. I have one pic that might be a footprint but I'm not sure. How do I post it?
  14. Ha ok. I'm gonna try some Bigfoot calls tonight. If there's one here I'll find it.
  15. Yeah I figure I will see it sooner or later. Each night more stuff keeps happening. Any idea on how to bait for them? I'll look for tracks again soon. I actually found one that is the same size as my shoe( a 15) but it wasn't a show it was a "Bigfoot track" of course. I'll post anything new I find. It's almost like a game between me and whatever it is. Hahah
  16. Well it was just a deep grunt. And that video I believe is a fake. Some of my friends know the person that made it.
  17. I will gladly let you stay in my cabin for a few nights. Once it gets dark and what ever it is comes back it 100x scarier than you would think. Just the thought of a 9 foot 800 pound thing that could easily tear me limb from limb roaming around outside my cabin is just a little freaky
  18. This is mainly in reply to red earth bc I took his advice and went in the woods. I found a trees that was like twisted around and broken recently but that could just be from storms. I felt like I was being watched the whole time but I ran out of there as fast as I could when I got hit on the back of the head by a rock about the size of a piece of ice. Any time I go into the woods I hear walking beside me and when I stop it stops but I don't see anything. It's spooky.
  19. I experimented by drooping the trash can lid and I found that it was the noise I heard. But I had fastened it tightly the night before and only a human could've opened the lid because it's a fairly complicated process. Trash only runs on Tuesday. And I believe the occurrences began on Thursday.
  20. Hey guys, Let me start by saying in no believer in Bigfoot, but what's happening right now may change that. Please read this through and hopefully give me some advice. So a few nights ago I was lying in bed reading fishing posts in BR and I heard the loudest bang I've ever heard. So I get up and check around outside and the lid to one of my bear proof trashcans( I live in Blue Ridge, Ga) which has a lever that secures a tightening ring to a 200 pound trash can was nearly placed back on the top if the trash can but not fastened. So I go back inside. The next morning I went out to find a seat cushion from a chair on the ground. I tied it back to the chair. The next morning I go outside to find 4 golf all sized rocks lined up at my door and the cushion back on the ground in the same spot. Tonight I have put apples grapes and bacon around my house to attract what ever it is. And while I was doing that this evening I heard a "roar" that was followed by the sound of a tree branch being snapped. I live in the mountain mountains and know all of my elderly neighbors though I myself am a young lad of 27. Haha but seriously. I am too afraid to sleep at nights now bc the same cushion ends up untied and placed on the ground and rocks are lined up at my door and I am hearing spooky noises all the time. And I have been scared inside multiple times bc of loud almost "almighty exhales"
  21. I was fishing with 2 inch rapala shad rap and caught a yellow perch that was about 8 inches long and then caught a 2 pound crappie right after that. Pretty interesting.
  22. Yeah so today me and my buddy were having a bass fishing tournament and it early we were tied 2 bass to 2 bass. We were right by each other and I was using a 2 inch matzuo crankbait and I hooked up on a yellow perch in about 8 ft of water ten feet from the boat. It was about 8 inches long and not even a pound and it attacked a decent sized crankbait.
  23. Hey guys, I'm taking a fishing trip over in lake Martin next week and it a the first time I've been to this lake. I've heard that it can be fishermans heaven and even if when I go it isn't, "a bad day of fishing is better than a good day at work." But im staying in a lake house that's on the water and is back in a creek and the water seems to be pretty clear. But is there any way you guys could help me out and tell me what spawn pattern the bass are following now. Are they bedded and in the spawn or because of recent cold fronts are they still following prespawn patterns and suspended up creek? If you could tell me what the cover is and the bait fish that are found in lake Martin and what strategies y'all find useful during prespawn around those covers. Thanks Jake Cokely
  24. Thanks y'all. I really appreciate y'all taking some time to respond. Thank you so much! Jake Cokely.
  25. Hey y'all, so a little while ago, I was looking online just for fun, to look for people who have different and unique techniques and "secrets." I realized... Me and my brother should take this spring in the time we have off from college and find some old school fishermen! We have scheduled 6 different trips and we are ready to go. But I want to ask some of you guys, that I know are really really dedicated to fishing, where should I look for these old school fisherman and how do I find them? How do I get them to know that I'm not selling their tips and tricks but that I'll keep them in my family and keep them alive for generations to come... Also, if any one has any types of fishing tips and tricks that they have discovered and would like to share, I would absolutely LOVE to hear them and share some of my own. Thank you so so much in advance for any replies and advice. And until we talk again, fish on! Jake Cokely.
