Something Scary Is Happening
I can't get the pictures to post. If there was a way that I could they would already be on here. I'm not lying about any of this and I'm not even saying it's a Bigfoot. That's why I posted on here to get y'all's opinions. I'm still trying to get photobucket and imgur to work but they won't cooperate.

Jokes - Let's Have Some Fun
Fisherman: "father, is it a sin to fish on Sunday?" Priest: "from what I understand about the few fish you catch, it's a sin any day you fish." De-fin-itions Live bait: the biggest fish you got to handle all day. Thumb: a temporary hook holder Fisherman: a jerk at one end of the line waiting for a jerk at the other Sinker: a weight hopefully big enough to knock out any fish on the way to the bottom so that it floats to the surface. Rookie angler: the one who catches the most and biggest fish. Truth: when one fisherman calls another fisherman a liar.

Jokes - Let's Have Some Fun
A small town doctor was a big time fisherman. One day, while on one of his frequent fishing trips, he got a call that a woman at a nearby farm was giving birth. He rushed to her aid and delivered a healthy baby boy. The farmer had nothing to weigh the baby with so the doctor used his fishing scales. The baby weighed 22 pounds 10 ounces.

How Would You Fish These Spots?
Yes sir that's where those bass will be. It also depends on how deep that slime is and it sounds like the slime is pretty close to the top. Suspending cranks and jerk baits, top water frogs and wait less flukes sound good. That's great that you have found that pipe. Whether it's the enter point or exit point they both yield fish. There's a great article on BR by clacker buzz I think that tells a lot more about it. I wish you the best of luck and keep posted on your results! Talk soon, Jacob Cokely.

Something Scary Is Happening
Wow I understand your confusion. That's a big error I didn't catch in my profile, I'm 18 but not much difference. Wouldn't mid being 14 again though! I don't see how I messed up my age that bad, I'm sorry about that. I have clef them and told them about a lot of what's happening but they think it's me and and my new friends messing around. But I will change that mistake right away.

Where Are My Fellow Mississippi Fisherman?!
It can be pretty hard fishing close to the dam but not impossible. On the reservoir side i can't manage to catch anything. On the other side of the spill way I gave managed to catch largemouths on buzz baits and chatter baits when the dam isn't open. The big section that you see over the spillway wouldn't be where I would try to fish because of all the recreational boaters and just the huge expanse and no cover. But I'm not saying you won't catch anything though. It's just 20 times harder haha. Good luck and we'll talk soon. Jacob Cokely.

How Would You Fish These Spots?
Well it looks and sounds like you have a great spot to fish. Of course we don't want to try to fish with anything that'll bring back the green slime so if any lure you ever are using does that, it is too deep and probably time to change it. Now, have you caught any bass that have the slime on them anywhere? If you have, that means they are settled down low. On days the have similar conditions, fish what worked on that day. You could try a shallow(I mean really shallow) crankbait to try and trigger a reaction strike and get them pulled up from down low. If they didn't have slime on them, go with a top water frog. You can run it parallel to the bank or toss it to the other side on land and slide it into the water. If they bass are close by you don't want that frog slapping the water and have them running off. Try moving up and down the bank. Take a couple casts in one area and if no hits or catches then move down a little ways. If you cover a large amount of ground with a frog and don't have anything then change lures. A suspending jerk bait or crankbait would work. It does for me at least. Since the water is dark you will need some high contrast colors. For top water frog try a white matzuo popper frog. I'm not sure of the name and I'm sorry about that. White frogs would do well or a scum frog that's green and has red and brown flakes. On that scum frog I like the one with the bristle legs. Maybe just maybe a weightless fluke is a good option but word a word of caution, use it on a spinning reel unless you have experience on a bait caster. For the pond if you have access to all sides, try to find a spot where the water enters the pond. It has to have an entry point and that's where bass will be because of food/ oxygen will be the most concentrated. You may also find baitfish and try to find out what they are and how big they are. Then by baits according to what they look like and size wise. I like to cover ground with spinner and buzz baits. Just toss then in and cover as much ground as you can. They are a great scouting tool for finding the structure and cover of the land. I hope this helps. If it doesn't then shame on me for not knowing any better. This has been all of my tactics for places that I fish exactly like those. You wouldn't happen to be in Mississippi would you? That looks just like a place where I go once or twice a week just to see what's up with the bass there. Good luck and update us on how it goes. Talk soon

Do You Hunt - If So, Check In
Whitetail, turkey, squirrel and dove are all super fun. It's just a shame that hunting and fishing can't be year round extravaganzas.

Where Are My Fellow Mississippi Fisherman?!
Oh along the bank golly gees. Any snakes? The only thing about calling panther is it's basically a swamp. I forgot to tell you about top water frogs. Stupid me. With all the underwater trees last time I took my jon boat I hacked some holes in the bottom but I treated that thing like a price of trash. I think I'm going on not this Thursday but the next so I'll be interested to see if any of the info I gave was junk. Since I've been in Georgia all summer playing baseball I haven't gotten to go fishing but them three times:( I will be living on the lakes for the rest of July. Keep me posted on how the fishing goes for you and any more questions you can PM me if you ever felt the need. Starting July 6th I'll be fishing everyday so I can post the most accurate info soon. Talk soon Jacob Cokely.

Whats Your Favorite Music Genre??
The only current artists would be zac brown band and George strait. Well I'm not sure how current George strait may be considered. I like all of his music from early to now.

Whats Your Favorite Music Genre??
Well not much current music is good listening. I am still a huge 70s and 80s rock guy and abunch of southern rock music too. Kansas, lynyrd skynard, ryan Adams, Marshall tucker band, the Charlie Daniels band, and Eric Clapton are some of my favorites.

Douglas Lake Trip
Well my friend, my bud just fished there a few days ago. He said the largemouth were coming out of deep depressions or up along humps, or on shorelines with trees shading the water and rip rap. Lure wise it was pretty much anything AS LONG AS( as my friend put it) you just use the lure as it was designed to use. Nothing fancy nothing crazy. Crankbaits tended to pull out the bigger ones. He caught a couple good 3 pounders on a shad rap. I guess it's just one of those times when the bass are being straightforward and not to crazy. Just being predictable. So crank baits, plastic worms with a bullet wait just around shore and then maybe try a lipless crankbait just for giggles. If it doesn't produce then cut it. What do you gave to lose is how I try! Haha. Good luck into your endeavors and catch some big ones for us! Talk soon

Places To Fish Near Birmingham, Al
Sorry I forgot you said you didn't have a boat. A kayak would be a great thing to have and you don't need a 1000 dollar one. As long as it floats right? Lol. Just practice kayaking before you fish out of one. Just telling you from experience.

Places To Fish Near Birmingham, Al
Well that really depends on how far you are willing to go outside the city. There's Logan matting lake, lake purdy and lake wehepa. Now I have only fished lake Logan matting and lake purdy. Since I'm not regularly from burningham or alabama I can't help that much but those are some in the area. Now in oak mountain state park, there is Oak mountain lake. Then up north a little further than Birmingham close to springville there is inland lake. One of my good friends has fished there and it is pretty good I've heard. Then lastly of my knowledge there is highland lake which is just a few miles north of inland lake. Directions wise I can only say about Logan Martin which I used my gps to get to. Look up the lakes website and it should tell you directions and popular fishing spots. If you have a boat that could be even better. Hope this helps some. I wish I could do more but this is about all I can. Talk soon

Something Scary Is Happening
I am taking taking photos of everything I find. I can't post pictures for some reason. When I download them to a file they just won't upload to the site. It's a bummer. I have found a footprint and an of stuck structure just now.(I am in the woods now). It looks like three trees bent over(young trees, probably about as thick as my arm) and two trees bent over them going across holding them down. Almost like a little shelter but no roof. I will check it out again tomorrow. Maybe I interrupted the squatch building a new home. Haha

Something Scary Is Happening
I hate to argue with anybody but I know that it can't be kids because there has been activity during morning evening day and night. Kids couldn't be here that long and would they keep coming back this long? I hunt a good bit and when I'm in the woods and a rock get thrown at me and I can't find the culprit, it can't be some kids. The behavior is to crazy to be kids. I can't predict what it's going to do next. I have found 6 tree breaks all facing the fame way that weren't there before I started going in the woods looking for evidence. I always get the feeling of being watched in the woods which could just be me and it probably is but when I get growled at and thrown at, that's a different story. Thank y'all so much for your opinions and I won't really know what it is until I see it. I hope I do get to see him soon

Brand New To Fishing, Could Use Some Guidance And Help
Greetings! As said above, for freshwater bass fishing a bait caster is going to give you a lot of different way of presenting your bait. A great bait caster whether your a seasoned veteran of your local reservoir or a rookie would be a Browning Stalker Gold. It's got an easy to use ball bearing tighten/loosen control that will help reduce those evil backlashes or birds nest as some say. It's at a great price for how good it is. The combo is only 80 dollars I believe. It is one of the better ones I own and I've had it for 3 years. As for baits I don't think you can go wrong with a crankbait. They don't have to be kvd or rapala to work well, the key is just presentation. Senkos are great also. I've never fished as far north as you but if you still have areas of grass and/or lilli pads then a top water frog will do the trick. Just make sure to read th forums and articles on this Bass Resource and you will find any and all information you could need or want here. Just have patience don't give up if things don't go perfectly because you can't catch a fish if you don't have a line in the water. Well you could but it's illegal to fish without a hook and line in most places but just take inspiration from that. Don't over think it. Talk soon Jake Cokely
