Florida Bass Fishing - January Edition
Looked on Google Earth to look for new places to fish and/or secret ponds in the forest. I found a canal in the forest and their are trails that lead up to it. I also found more trails that lead up to parts of the Econ River and I plan on adventuring there this weekend. Anyway at the canal me and my brother fished there for about 1:30-2 hours. Caught about 7 fish total. It's always fun to fish a new spot. My biggest fish was 6 pounds and my brother had a nice one about 3 pounds. I will post a video of the 6 pounder if anyone wants to see it once I have uploaded it to Youtube.

Fishing In The Rain
What do you guys think about fishing in the rain. I've read some where that fish are more aggressive right before it is about to rain and they can sense when it is about to rain. Anyone else fish in the rain and notice more luck? I know I've caught some big bass during rain but just wondering about what you guys think.

Florida Bass Fishing - January Edition
Woke up this morning early before school and went out to a golf course pond. I hooked into a big fish texas rigging the Yum F2 Wooly bug in bream color. I would have gotten pictures and video but my dad is on a fishing trip in Nicaragua and he wanted to bring my GoPro :/ anyways after landing the fish it was a fat bass that looked like it hadn't spawned yet. It weighed 8 pounds flat on the scale. Just 6 ounces off my PB! Caught at about 7 this morning. If anyone is curious I will attach the video of my PB bass. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oJ-2Tl2UaiY&list=UUNk6ZoNaY79k9hyGaQHb5jw&feature=c4-overview

Both times when I was bass fishing I have caught bowfin and one time a bullhead catfish. Surprisingly I caught the catfish on a lipless crankbait.

Best Rod For The Money?
I'm wondering what you guys think the best rod for the money is. I'm looking at the Powell Diesel. I'm trying to keep the price under 100 and I will be using the rod as a utility rod that is 7ft MH. Thanks for any feedback.

How Long After A Cold Front
Here in Orlando, FL we just had a cold front so i'm sure the bass went out to deeper waters. What i'm wondering is how long does it take for the bass to move back into shallower waters and start biting more aggressively again. It was cold on Thursday but it is warming up today and will be back to normal temperatures this weekend. I'm just hoping the bass are back to normal this weekend.
