  1. thnx for the replies,, I would love to fish from shore but I think my rods are too small, maybe my catfish gear but doubt I could get a good enough cast, have to do some better research on that. still working the wifey on the idea for a day or 2 around Miami so I can find a charter to take me around the canals and such I really want to check off a peacock bass off my bucket list for fish.
  2. thinking of taking the wife to the siesta key area, she wants white sand and a resort setting. however I get to take a few days to go fishing but not sure about the fishing that early in spring. I understand the fishing in general should be good in most florida waters but I don't want to waste to much time looking around for fish if its not going to happen. plus might also swing by further south towards Miami for some peacock bass, as I understand it they are a good fight and abundant in the canals, any hints or tips towards local charters or groups who could spare some time and share some info or a spot or two for an old guy from out of town.
  3. I'm over here at the top of WV in the Ohio river, and I still get a few here and there,, small jigs in a natural color work this time of year and I target the down side of creeks flowing into the river. color seems to be the difference for here in the colder water. the up side is that the walleye take the same baits.
