Laguna Niguel Lake
Where's the Irvine Loop Lake? Is that the same thing as Yale loop?

Laguna Niguel Lake
They both had algae blooms, Mission's was a golden algae which pretty much killed everything in the lake. I think Laguna was a Brown algae and thought it killed everything also but I've heard otherwise. Just really want to know a little more before forking out almost $30 to get in there!

Laguna Niguel Lake
Anybody fished here recently from shore? I was under the impression most of their bass population died last summer with the algae bloom they had but have heard some guys say they're still getting bass out of the lake. Just want to know if its worth paying the $$$ to get in or not.

Phenix 7'6" Elixir V. 8'0" Dragon Fly
Anybody fish one or both of these rods for trout ever? I do all my fishing from shore so I will be getting a longer stick to get lures out there. As far as the size difference that doesn't really concern me just am trying to get a performance comparison if I can before I buy one since the dragonfly is 50 bucks more retail than the elixir. Anything will help, thanks.

What is everyone's thought on this. I've heard a lot of people say they don't like to fish a trap hook and am wondering why. Just bought my first hudd yesterday and don't know if I wanna fish a trap hook or not but responses to this will help.

New V. Old Curado
It's funny you mention the tatula. The last 2 reels I've purchased have been the tatula about 2 months ago and now the curado I on Wednesday. I could not be more happy with my two decisions, so far both reels have been outstanding and are exceeding all expectations I had going into using them.

New V. Old Curado
I agree, something in the low 5's is what I'd really want but the 5.5 is still good.

New V. Old Curado
I was always leaning towards the new "I", just wanted to get some input from you guys. I got a new daiwa tatula in a 7.3 gear ratio about a month or two ago and I love that reel but I have always been a shimano guy and the new curado in a low gear ratio is what I've been looking at for a while now.

New V. Old Curado
I have a few local tackle shops around me that are selling the old model Curado for 139.99. Seeing that the new Curado's are going for 180, just want to get opinions on if the new are worth the extra money or if its not worth it to spend the extra 40 dollars. Thanks for any input.

Fishing Craw Baits
That's what I thought too in terms of fishing a Carolina rig in open conditions. awkward and not normal for the craw to float a foot above the bottom. any suggestions on a good craw, I've heard the Berkley chigger craw is a good bait but they don't last more than 3 or 4 fish before you're using a new one.

Fishing Craw Baits
From what I've heard from a lot of guys, these seem to be one if the most versatile baits around. Any suggestions as the best way to fish them in lakes with little to no cover. Considering trying with a football jig or a Carolina rig.
