Abu used to be made by doyo, they now have there own plant in Korea there bait casters and spinning reels. Some of there ambassadeurs are made in Sweden except for the new s,sx,and stx round reels

I have got the opportunity to play with the reel and walked away very up satisfied. It's just another doyo reel. Just like so many others, nothing special. Abu Garcia has nothing to do with them as Abu ownes there own plant in Korea and did not make them for Duckett. The 13 reels on the other hand have been very impressive. I have tested them all except the KP and are by far the best outof the box reel I have used. Better drag than a Abu, better casting than a tatula and palms better than a lews. Very impressive so far

Irod by far. If it's good enough that Ken Huddleston uses them it's good enough for me.

There actions are on the light side. A heavy is really a med heavy. The overall feel of the rod is very solid. The Winn grip feels very nice and they have a great warranty. What sold me on them was the owner. In a world where it is so easy to send a rod to china and have it made for $22 and sell them for $150 is very easy. It's nice to see a few company's that stand behind there product. I'm old on Irods but I would not all think twice about buying a hammer.

It's just my opinion guys. I had a problem that I discussed with Gary himself a few years back. I wasn't happy with how it was handled. Everybody has there preference on what rod the choose to use. I have been fortunate enough to fish with lots of brands high end and entry level and I make my decisions on what I feel best suits my needs.im bashing anybody's brand just stating my opinion.

I have never had a problem with customer service from Irod. It's nice that the number on the website is the owner cell number. I wast a fan of Dobyns warranty and the Duckett rods to me are no different than the skeet Reese rods. To each his own

They are not bad rods but I think for the money there are better options. The *** or Irod genesis 2
