Eating Smallmouth First Time In 15 Years...
Me and my dad enjoy eating SMB. We catch with intention of eating on occasion. We fillet them and we leave the skin on. We throw the skin side on the grill and season the flesh side with lemon and pepper. It actually tastes pretty good.

Best Way To Pick Smallies Off Of The Logs?
So I have been fishing the local river by me for a little while now, and have started taking advantage of the many logs in this river. So far, my gig has been to drift pass the logs and cast right underneath of them with a drop shot. Don't get me wrong, it works quite well, I was just wondering if there is a more effective way to fish these logs. Thank you and any help is appreciated!

How To Catch Bass In My Pond??
Hey guys so I have this pond by my house were I try to catch bass. So far I have seen 5 or six bass in it, but I don't no if they are the same ones or not. I have hooked one bass on a booyah pad crasher but havent caught fish since. I have been tryin frogs, texas rigs, carolina rigs and even a spinnerbait, with no results. And there is a healthy population of bluegill in it. And frogs. So is it worth it to keep trying? Is there a stable population of bass in it? By the way I am new to largemouth but I have fished smallies all my life so any advice is appreciated!!!

Trolling Motor Size
Hey guys here is the question. I have a 18 foot crestliner multi-species boat, with no trolling motor. I am wanting to buy a trolling motor, I just don't know what lb thrust is needed for a boat like mine. Thanks any advice is helpful!

Should I Use Braid?
Thanks for your advice! My biggest smallie out of that river was a 5 pounder. Funny thing was me and my family had beached our boat to have a picnic. I cast out a drop shot, and wham! I brought in that brute. He was so long, and that was what amazed me!

Should I Use Braid?
Hey guys I was just wondering if it was worth it to switch over to braid. I currently use 2 spinning setups for smallies, and I have 6 and 8 pound test mono on them. I have heard braid works well, I just didn't know if it was versatile enough for my uses. I run dropshot rigs, splitshot rigs, tube jigs, and grubs primarily. I also throw some spinners and crankbaits to. If I do run braid I will use a leader, of either flourocarbon or mono. Thanks for your guys advice!

Best Way To Film Fishing?
I understand the white edition is not the top of the line. I am on a very strict budget and it is all I can afford. For editing, I plan to film the camera on loop, so I can still have footage besides just reeling in the fish. I also have windows movie maker so I guess that is my editing software!

Hey guys i'm going to start a Youtube channel. Glenn has really inspired me. I will be purchasing a go pro hero 3 white edition camera. My question is what do you guys think is the best way to film fishing. I like the head or chest mounts but I am not sure which one. Thanks!

Good Lures For Mid-Summer Lake Smallmouth?
I good bait for mid-summer smallies is always the dropshot rig. Look it up. My single favorite worm for smallies is a 4.5 inch straight tail roboworm. Nose hook this on your dropshot and you should do pretty well. Another good lure is the curly tailed grub. Try them in the 4 to 5 inch size, rigged with a 1/8-1/4 oz round lead jighead and you will catch em'! My favorite colors for grubs are watermelon and green pumpkin. And if all else fails, rig up a tube jig and just try it. The best thing to do when you are new to any lake/river is to experiment. Try different lures and colors until you find the right one. Try fishing points and underwater structure. Smallies will be were ever rocks are so try those to. Good luck!

Tube Jig Setup

Tube Jig Setup
Hey guys I was just wondering what your setup is for fishing tubes for Smallmouth bass. By setup I mean line, rods, reels, jig head, tubes, things of that nature. I don't fish tube jigs often (I'm more of a grub and dropshot guy) but I would like to start fishing them more. Also, do any of you use braid when fishing tubes? Thanks!
