Help A Shy Guy Out
UPDATE: Today was good. Had class, but didn't say anything before or after to her. After my last class, I notice she's walking right behind me. I turn around and ask how she's doing and and about this essay we had to write for class. The whole thing lasted like 20 seconds because she ended up sitting down by her friend. I then sat about ten feet away at an empty table in hopes of her sitting down. When I sat down, she looked over and smiled. Then her friend must of said something about me because they both looked over. After about ten minutes, she walks over to me and gives me her number and says something like "Here's my number in case I have any questions about homework. Text me."

Help A Shy Guy Out
Seeing that you wanted an update, I'll provide you one. Today was rather terrible. Had class, didn't work up the courage to talk to her. I saw her after my last class, and she glanced at me. But I made the stupid choice to sit a table with one chair. Last Thursday was good though, I think. I didn't talk to her until after my last class. I saw her sitting alone listening to music asked if I could sit and she smiled and said yes. She took out her earphones and acted like she was reading, I did as well. Obviously we weren't reading because we were looking around at passing by people. We talked about class and then I complemented her shoes. Her eyes lit up and she talked briefly about them. This only lasted about five minutes because I had to go and pick my brother up.

Help A Shy Guy Out
Update: Can't tell if today was good or bad. Went to class, saw her, said nothing. I left class and I looked back and saw her leaving class. At this point I was making my way down the next hallway. I stopped and thought to myself, if you don't say anything now, you never will. So, I asked her if the professor mentioned anything about tests and quizzes. She responded. I then introduced myself and we talked maybe 30 seconds about the class. Unfortunately my next class was in five minutes so I couldn't keep talking... We ended up at what appeared to be her locker and then it was just over. Neither of us said bye, in fact, I kept walking (rookie mistake, right?)... Overall, I know I probably came off as a weird guy because I was really nervous. So, should I talk to her when I see her, or let her come to me the next time?

Help A Shy Guy Out
Missed two opportunities today... Before class I waited in the lounge area. I waited and I waited. I waited for her until I could no longer. I went to class and she rolls in pretty much as the class started. After class I got up and was walking toward her when a heavy classmate stood up in front of me. You would think a simple directional change would result in passing the obstruction;however, I sit in an area I call the "funnel." Only one person can fit through at a time and the chance was lost... After my last class of the day, I saw her sitting and talking to her friends and thought it'd be best to wait until next Tuesday.

I also like hearing what people say to get a better feel for the person they are before I try to communicate. You seem a lot like me, man.

Snake In My House
This one area I fish has a snake den, there not big, but there's hundreds. You take one wrong step and BANG. There on you like purple is on an eggplant! I've never seen people jump so high... It's like a teacher jumping from her stool because someone put a pin in her seat...

I'd sit next to her but I sit next to a guy that I use to play soccer against, and he fishes... Constant conversation...

Help A Shy Guy Out
I've encountered a dilemma and I've made my decision to turn to my second family, the lovely people of Bassresource. Growing up I've always been defined as two ways: the first, being "shy", the second, being "stuck-up." Out of those two I define myself as shy, not stuck-up because I don't hold myself higher than anyone. If anything, I tend to put others before myself and I think their a better person than who I am. So, shy has become my "title." I really don't like it, though, because I'm actually a very outgoing person. The only reason I'm defined as shy is because of my fears, which are self-disappointment and the lack of confidence. The fear of self-disappointment stems from childhood. Everything I did as a child I was the best at the particular task. No matter what, I was the best, no joke. As I grew up, others soon became better and I always challenged myself to be the best. Most of the time I would succeed, however, when I failed, I would be devastated because it was unnatural for me. The fear of failing makes me not want to try anything new, even though I really want too. The confidence issue probably comes because of 6th grade. In 6th grade during study hall there were about five other students in the class with the homeroom teacher. We were all talking and then the 7th grade science teacher walked in and said to me, "When did your voice get so deep?" I just looked at him confused and didn't know what to say, but the homeroom teacher did. He said, "What are you talking about? He's still a little squeaker!" They laughed a lot. This killed me on the inside because I was the tallest in the grade and was expected to be the most mature. That lead me to talk in a much deeper tone, as some put it now, unnaturally deep, or even god status. That event was terrible because all through high school people would just laugh at me when I talk. Over the years I tried to talk with my normal voice, I just couldn't though. This results in me being able to talk normal at my house with my family, just when I go out, I can't. I hardly ever talk now because I know what's coming... I'm also not the fittest guy which plays a part in my confidence... When I don't talk, I think about what to say. I'm now what people would consider awkward in conversation because I just don't know what to talk about, let alone, what to say to a person I've never met. With the fear of self-disappointment and the lack in confidence, my dilemma is a tough one. I'm a freshman at my local technical college, everyone commutes, and hardly anyone talks, which you think would be a good fit for me. Only, I want to be more outgoing but I fear what people will think. I know I shouldn't care what people say, but human nature says otherwise. So, the problem. I never really talked to many people so my conversation skills are probably sub-par, but there's this girl in my Cultural Anthropology class that is really pretty. I don't think anyone else notices her because she appears to be shy just based off her body language. She also does not talk. I want to tell her shes beautiful, I just don't want to come off as a weirdo seeing that I've never talked to her. With, what I consider, my terrible social skills I think intensely before I talk, and I've came up with what I would call an ice-breaker, but to the common folk, probably strange. Here it is, "I don't know if it's weird to say this because I've never said anything like this before and I don't want to weird you out, but I just wanted to say, you are really beautiful." For all you that are more experienced, is that strange? Or is a simple, "Hi, I'm Wyatt," better? I'm not really looking to get into a conversation... At least not yet...

Smallies On Buzzbaits
I use small buzzbaits (1/4oz being the heaviest) because the smallies in my river are around 12 inches. I also have been running a Texas rigged Berkley Havoc Pit Boss topwater, which is producing strikes. The Pit Boss's arms slap the water creating a different sound.

New To Deep Lake Fishing
I'm going up with a friend to a new lake this weekend. The only problem is that I generally fish shallow mud holes, and this lake's deepest point is 45 feet. The lake is Pearl Lake, in Wisconsin. It's 101 acres and supposedly one of the clearest lakes in Wisconsin. This is the lake. If you could please take a look and tell me spots I should try. http://dnr.wi.gov/lakes/maps/DNR/0195400a.pdf I'm not sure if the boat I'll be going on has a fishfinder, so that's why I need to find a few spots to try based off the lake map. I fish only from shore... and on heavily pressured lakes. So, I have to adapt to fish techniques I don't see people using, which typically brings great results. I'm not a great fisherman by any means, I do, however, feel I know more than the average weekend fisherman. I do a lot of Texas rigging because cranks, buzzbaits, and spinnerbaits are always being thrown at the lakes I fish. I'm still learning jig fishing, though. I have two rods: one for cranking and an all-purpose rod except for cranking. My all-purpose rod is a 7'0", MH, Fast, Fenwick HMG. On the rod I have a 7.1:1 Lew's Speed Spool with 50lb braid and a 6' 10lb fluoro leader. My questions: 1.) Should I bring a spinning rod for drop shot? I have a 7'0", med, fast rod. 2.) What are some must have lures for clear lakes? 3.) Are there any particular times fishing will be better in clear lakes due to light penetration? 4.) Will Teas rigging work in deep areas? Or should I switch to the Carolina rig? 5.) Will finesse baits work best seeing that the lake is so clear? 6.) Jerkbaits? Yes? No?

Rust Removal
I'd post a pic of this rusty piece of crap, but I can't upload anything... First, I don't have a phone with those abilities and, secondly, I don't know how to upload a picture or resize it. I'm not very tech savvy...
