What bass fishing reel companies actually make/manufacture their own reels? Last I heard, Daiwa and Shimano were two of them…are there others?

Have basically narrowed it down to these 3 reels for a musky setup….anyone have any thoughts/suggestions…again, the reels I’m looking at are the Daiwa Prorex, Shimano Tranx 400, and Abu Garcia Revo Toro Beast

Finally ordered my first Curado…went with a 200K in 7.4:1….I’ve typically been a Tatula guy, so I’m anxious to see how they compare! Planning to throw some 19lb sunline defier armilo on it and see how it goes!

Anyone still use the Abu Garcia Ambassador C3? It’s been forever since I’ve had one, wondering how they compare to the more modern baitcasters….any info is appreciated!

What lb test do you recommend? i was going to go with 20-25lb but have heard there are memory/coiling issues? any memory/coiling/handling issues with the 22 and 25lb ???

Squarebills, spinnerbaits, topwater, maybe chatterbaits - will be sort of a utility/do it all combo

Bringing 3 rods on an upcoming fishing trip… - Daiwa zillion/Dobyns Xtasy w/tatsu fluoro - Shimano Sustain/okuma psycho stick w/30lb FINS wind tamer black braided line - Daiwa Tatula Elite/Dobyns champion extreme HP with ????? Mono Need suggestions on mono - I can always go with my go to Pline CXX in green, but curious as to what others like - The mono setup will be used for top water/spinnerbait/chatterbait/squarebill/etc and also as kind of a do it all combo …..I hear sunline supernatural come up a lot…also sunline defier armilo, McCoy mean green, Berkley big game etc…any suggestions are appreciated (and why you like that particular line)…thanks in advance all!

At this point I cannot…I do have a couple 3000 size Stradics , but the sustain 4000 seems to balance better with my rods , at least to me

just liked the feel of it, was all they had in stock at the time....i know the 4000 size is probably unnecessary but i havent found it to be a hindrance other than it takes more line to fill

Going to be putting braid on my Shimano Sustain fj 4000.....are there braids that work better for spinning reels? Also debating on 20, 30, or 40lb braid...braids im considering thus far: Viscious No Fade Fins Wind Tamer Black Seaguar Smackdown

just played around with them in the living room, need to get some line on them and try casting

The more I play around with them the more i think they're fine....will probably send up selling them pretty soon as i have bills piling up and prefer the feel of daiwa's baitcasters
